In addition to the lovely colour mix recipes, I am loving your light-hearted, personal voice-over. Being an Aussie living in the UK, I'm digging the polymer clay community from back home :) Keep the great content coming!
Very cool! Have you made a video blending with just granite and/or terracotta? I have a ton (well 15 lbs. or so) of both those Sculpey original clay colors and another 5 lbs or so of generic brand mixed colors in 1 oz. blocks. I eventually plan to try to make miniature nature scenes/dioramas. All of my clay is hard dry and crumbly so I will be spending a lot of time conditioning my clay. I would like to make colors with it if possible while I condition it. I will probably be using more browns, greens, and some blues than most anything else. Is it possible to make those colors with granite and/or terracotta? Please say yes... 😆 I have those colored clay 1 oz. cubes, acrylic paint, watercolor paint, mica powder, and some colored inks. Please say yes... 😆
I think it depends on your project, if its earrings - not really, but the other projects you have suggested for sure. Terracotta will be tough to colour mix but maybe if you dont end up using it you could pop it on a destash website for sale or donate it too a local kindy or school. Unfortunately Sculpey OG is no good for earrings - trinket dishes and sculpted projects yes, earrings no...sorry!
Woooow amazing colors and I also love your personality. I´m new to your videos but I have to check them all out. Please keep them coming ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Greetings from Denmark.
Yes you are! Adventuring with colour is the best! What's the worst that can happen? Blurple or Brown, Ok but you can still use it all - it just becomes another challenge!
Thank you for this! I recently started getting in to the art of creating earrings out of clay and this is so helpful. It’ll be very cost effective to use only 2 colors to create a new color.
Dark Sand really reminds me of the US military uniform which the colour is "olive drab". My father collects WWII militaria and I see that colour WAY too often. Anyway, another hilariously brilliant video! Love your accent and now I must go binge your entire library of previous videos. 🤭
Interesting, I just see olive but I can see how colours can trigger memories and feelings for different people from other parts of the world..I appreciate you sharing!
Totally new to Polymer clay and I have picked your channel as one of my favs. However I just went to your website, and noticed it is closed - and that it was supposed to reopen in March. So I'm just wondering if everything is ok? And if it will run again at some stage in the future? I'd be very interested in doing a workshop in Melbourne if it happens.
Fab video! Gorgeous colours. Was so exciting to see how the colour combos would turn out 😀🤗 I don't have all the colours you used but am going to get me some and have a bash!!
I love you! I just started with clay and I stumbled on to your chanel! You are absolutely fabulous & hilarious! I can't get enough of your accent, I'm over in sunny Florida US so it's sych a wonderful change and cannot wait to watch more! Thank you, this was such a great tutorial ❤️
I love your bubbly personality, it was so much fun watching this video. Thank you for the great colour combo ideas as well as the tip about making a sample of the colour to place next to the recipe, brilliant!
These are great! Thank you for this tutorial....I was trying to make a deeper, richer purple and couldn't figure it out to save me. What can be added to colors to make them neon, rich and deep and bright? I'm trying to figure that out. But THANK YOU so much for this. It certainly helps when you dont have the exact color!😊👍🌈💚💙💜
I try to use super pigmented colours, and primary colours....you cant really make a neon colour using just polymer clay...you could try mica powders but even then making them more neon is kind of not something I've really delved into...
@@pollycollective thank you so much for answering my questions. It is unusual for an artist to address my concerns. THANKS AGAIN! Looking forward to future tutorials from you....🙃

Thank you! Will do!
I love this video. I've been a bit timid in using my colors to mix into something else, but I'm encouraged after watching your video. (and take #2).

And you can use smaller amounts too :)
What brand of clay are you using ?
I use fimo and they're not fimo colours.

I use Sculpey :)

How do you create periwinkle with a 1 to 1 ratio? HELP!
You don’t, you would need to play with different ratios of blue and fuschia / purple
