Haven't seen a video from u for a while, could definitely use some more pointers on how to work the hossfeld bender. Just picked up a #2 hossfeld the other day. It's 40 years old but still works as good as the day it was bought.
that master die assembly looks like it is about 12 inch wide and those locating lugs look like they are about 6 inch outside and 45 degrees am i anywhere near right I don't know if you write a script or rehears but the final result is excellent the words follow the action perfectly....any video you create will be a useful reference for people in the future
This set-up is designed to pinch just the vertical leg of angle material, so the radius dies are closely matched, however it is common in the student shop for folks to use, for example, the 5-1/2" radius cam die with a 6" radius block if bending 1/2" square or round bar stock. So the difference in radius is made up by the thicker material. Just realize the radius will not be exactly what is printed on the blocks if bending different shape material. There is also a limit to what the machine can bend in terms of forces the machine and the tooling can handle. You will want to do a little trial piece and see what the mismatched tooling gives you.
not sure if your bender is not secure to the base or the base not secure to the floor... but lots of wobble... I would not trust it with much of a cheater bar... been using mine for the better part of 40 years... amazing bender but troublesome at first
This is very helpful and informative. Thank you for making these available here on RUclips. 😊
Thanks Ernie! Glad to hear you're getting some use out of them.
@@melissahill7930 Thanks Melissa! Glad you are all getting some use out of these videos.
This is a very thorough video. It would take a 4 year course to learn that thing. I like the cabinet lock too, I'm gonna try to copy it.
Man, you need to rebolt that stand down, I was waiting for it to go tumbling......great video and explanation, very well done, Thank You
Superb channel, by a vey articulate expert. Keep making videos!

Awesome!! thank you very much, very informative!! PS can anyone get a copy of the Faculty made manual? for step by step instructions?
Can this bender do heel up as well?
Any chance you would share the cool manual that someone created?
I was going to plead for the same thing. Or even sell it reasonably?
outstanding
Can I use a 18 inch cam dye with a 15 inch radius block??
