My favorite of the four shows. We auditioned quite a few voice actors for the role of Polly, but most couldn’t carry a tune. Tress MacNeille is not only one of the best voice actors ever, but she also has a beautiful voice while remaining in character. The sound effects came from one of the first digital sample libraries in Southern California at the time. You’ll recognize a lot of the sounds as they’ve been used in TV and Movies quite frequently. Hal Smith, Jack Angel, and Alan Oppenheimer were absolutely amazing to work with.
This is a really nice show. Do you happen to have a copy of the Birthday Show for Bullfrog Bayou? I’m missing that one. Also, I was curious about some details of the Looney Tunes show you designed for Advanced Animations. Did the audio ever get recorded, or even scripted? I have videos on my channel of the earlier Looney Tunes that got made before you got onto the team at Advanced, but I know the version you worked on never got finished, so I was curious if at least the audio was made before it got cancelled. Funny thing about Hal Smith, I don’t think this was his first animatronic related job, he also performed some voices for a Rocky & Bullwinkle animatronic show before this I believe.
