I really hate the cultural mentality of not taking accountability. Why make so much excuse? It is what it is with the outfit. Eva was only saying what the majority of the fan base think. She’s giving constructive criticism (respectfully) and I don’t understand why people are upset about it- underwhelming naman kasi talaga and the styling team (although for sure did their best), failed this time. They’re not calling it out for being simple, they’re calling it out for not having thought & edit behind the styling. I don’t think it had anything to do with hate coming from Marina and Eva. They provided constructive criticism that is very crucial to the success of the show. I do agree it’s a very valid point and it is important that it was brought up. We look forward to seeing the improvement fruition on the next season. What is not acceptable, however, is the unnecessary hate from the fans. They need to know the difference between constructive criticism and hate. It is very unnecessary and unfair to the styling and hair team. With regards to “following” what management has to say, I think the styling and hair team really needs to take ownership of their craft. It’s is THEIR job - they must set the tone, not management. Management is not skilled in their area and so they are the ones that follow the styling and hair team and only need to make sure it’s within budget and make the necessary adjustments accordingly.

I think this styling team person is just making lots of excuses. These are all the consequences of your incompetence as the styling team of Mama Pao for season 2. Just own it honey and be better like you did the first season. I think the Drag Race franchise in general is overly obsessed with “the look.” I want the shows to go back to rewarding creativity and talent. Aesthetics on their own are a hollow measure of a queens abilities. The show was much better when the queens were asked to make their own garments and create their own drag. I’m not saying the look isn’t important, it is. I am saying the show has lost some of its soul being so focused on the best costumes rather than the best performances. The most talented queens never win anymore, instead it’s always the queens with the most followers. It’s off subject from Mama Pao but looking at the queens in this video I’m board with these gowns. The budget of the outfits the queens wore came from their own pockets. They also had to scramble to find designers and materials for their outfits during COVID. So of course their drags would look crunchy, they had to work with what they had. Mama Pao had a team of stylists to take care of her, all paid for by the production. So what's her excuse?

I think this styling team person is just making lots of excuses. These are all the consequences of your incompetence as the styling team of Mama Pao for season 2. Just own it honey and be better like you did the first season. Don't ever see it as hate from queens who calls you out because first and foremost, they know what they're talking about and doing, compared to your styling for Mama Pao this second season.

Yes, may mga times na very erratic yung production at may last minute changes at lahat pero yung pinakafocus ndun is yung final product/look. Kahit maliit yung budget or konti yung time dba kailangan imanage yun para kahit may constraints the styling should still look great and presentable. Kung ganyan din lng naman ang reasoning nyu edi sana nagpalagay ng disclaimer every time lumabas si Paolo sa stage nang ready lahat ng manunood sa mundo bat ganun hitsura nya.

Hindi talaga marunong makinig yung production or yung team ng Drag Race PH. We are rooting for them so much because everyone wanted them to succeed especially when we represent this nation in the international scene of drag. I remember how the team behind the show would have petty fights against the fans who gave their criticisms, all of them were valid, tbh. Pero laging dinodownplay. Sayang it was an opportunity to grow and be better at it.

I haven't watched drag race Philippines but just by looking at the snippet pictures, you could already tell that Paolo's style wasn't giving glam in any way. I'm so sorry but Mama Pao deserves way better styling.

I think the Drag Race franchise in general is overly obsessed with “the look.” I want the shows to go back to rewarding creativity and talent. Aesthetics on their own are a hollow measure of a queens abilities. The show was much better when the queens were asked to make their own garments and create their own drag. I’m not saying the look isn’t important, it is. I am saying the show has lost some of its soul being so focused on the best costumes rather than the best performances. The most talented queens never win anymore, instead it’s always the queens with the most followers. It’s off subject from Mama Pao but looking at the queens in this video I’m board with these gowns. We’ve seen it, next.

The budget of the outfits the queens wore came from their own pockets. They also had to scramble to find designers and materials for their outfits during COVID. So of course their drags would look crunchy, they had to work with what they had. Mama Pao had a team of stylists to take care of her, all paid for by the production. So what's her excuse?

Ok, imagine this; have S2 version of Mama Pao stand beside Brooke Lynn Hytes, Pangina Heals, Nicky Doll, and Valentina. How do you think she would be judged standing beside her peers? Do you think anyone would take her judgement seriously when the contestants look better than her, unlike the hosts of other franchises who earned the right to be the host because they're polished and unquestionably gorgeous? If you're going to be a judge, make sure you have the right to judge and dole out advices. Her cheap looks makes the DRPH look cheap!
