It is a matter of flow and rhythm and starters get more opportunities and Knecht is still a rookie and he is labelled as a defensive liability so maybe guys go at him harder cuz of that label. Sometimes it is perception rather than actual. I think Knecht can be a decent NBA defender but it is great to see him still get rebounds and get buckets in transition and at the foul line. I think he can shoot well above 80% FT 50% FG and 40% from the 3; not bad from a rookie getting no plays consistently.
knecht struggles came when he started. it was clearly because there was too much pressure on him as a rookie. he also does need to keep getting shots from everywhere. any guy that just shoots threes is gonna hit a wall
I don’t think he went into anything. JJ put cement foot Rui back in the starting lineup and ruined the chemistry. We could start Cam or Christie over Rui and things would be fine. Dlo and Rui are great bench players.
Probelm is everyone knows he can shoot and he don't have the speed of a Curry to get open much. I like seeing him take people off the dribble and hit the midrange shots. And he is rebounding well.
