Thank you, man! I know exactly what you mean. Chi is a great example of knowing how to play exactly what’s required for the song. He can make the simplest of bass lines sound incredible through his feel and tone. Beautifully simple and simply beautiful.

I have come up with a request: Rusty Cage by Soundgarden! Ben Shepherd is an immaculate bassist and listening to the bass track isolated really lets you hear how much power he plays with.

Love this cover! And your tone is spot on! What are your amp settings for this song?

Thank you! I cant remember the exact settings, but essentially it’s compression, a little EQ to slightly boost the bass and cut the high mids, to let the low mids cut through, and then some gain to give a little grit. I hope this helps!

It’s a 1999/2000 (I think) Ernie Ball Sting Ray. It’s a fantastic bass.
