Kindle check MOE website to confirm what type of photocopies you need. You can't get English language proficiency from MOE. Only your school registrar can do it. MOE gives an eligibility letter, ask for it, and they will direct you on how to get it.
I think authentication doesn't expire, but if not, someone can prove me wrong. Pick one when you get there, you let them know and they will advice you.
You can actually get English language proficiency from MOE Once you pay for eligibility letter you can request for the English proficiency because the payment covers both of them

You can photocopy it, but I'm not sure if they will accept photocopy. I don't think there's anything bad if a country’s stamps on the document used for another. It's just like our intl passport being stamped by different countries. The necessary thing is that there should be a space for the new stamp. To be safe, have photocopies of the document.

MOE authenticate anything academics. If your English proficiency letter is from your school, I think they will authenticate it, but if they don't, MOFA authenticate every other document.

Apply for your official transcript to be sent to an organisation you know someone or your place of work. That's how people get their official transcript.

Yes, it advisable you do that of your spouse. MOE authenticates academic documents only, while MOFA authenticates every documents including marriage certificates, academics, etc. As for children, if they have WAEC, MOE will authenticate it, but you have to buy a scratch card for it. Authenticate documents you think will be necessary when you get to the country.

Thanks very much. 1. No. Authentication of Documents for Study is done by the Ministry of Education and Foreign Affairs. I think some countries accept documents that are notarized by a Commissioner of Oath. You just have to inquire about the country you want to go to. 2. Some schools accept the documents and give you a conditional offer letter that requests your authenticated documents. Though the time might be short to submit it. So it's advisable that you authenticate before or while applying for admission.

All these authentication thing is mainly out of laziness by the destination schools mostly nonenglish speaking countries like Russia, Poland, Austria, Portugal etc. It's because the Nigerian Education Ministries and Foreign Affairs Ministries love to tax Nigerians outrageously. It's just a way of exploiting Nigerians who wish to study abroad. All these were not necessary a few years ago, why all of a sudden all these Authentication and Legalization is being done? It's an insult on the schools, means the foreigners don't trust the schools.

Now, I sent email to my school just as they instructed, the school emailed me back that MOE should email them instead! I am lost for how to proceed. They are two different things. You don't need to notarize before authenticate. You notarize photocopies while you authenticate original copies.

You will need your official transcript for authentication.
MOE authenticates only academic documents. MOFA can authenticate your birth certificate and the rest.

All these authentication thing is mainly out of laziness by the destination schools mostly nonenglish speaking countries like Russia, Poland, Austria, Portugal etc. It's because the Nigerian Education Ministries and Foreign Affairs Ministries love to tax Nigerians outrageously. It's just a way of exploiting Nigerians who wish to study abroad.
All these were not necessary a few years ago, why all of a sudden all these Authentication and Legalization is being done? It's an insult on the schools, means the foreigners don't trust the schools.

When you go for legalisation, ask for the certificate of eligibility. They will instruct you on how to get it.

That's exactly what they told me at ministry of education Abuja. I travelled all the way from Lagos. Now, I sent email to my school just as they instructed, the school emailed me back that MOE should email them instead! I am lost for how to proceed. Do I go back to Abj to tell MOE my school said to send the authentication request themselves? It's a bad situation.
