Allow pitching outside the leg stump for LBW. The rule was implemented to prevent "negative" bowling. Batsmen move around so much that it's no longer a disadvantage. If you can move across the off stump to hit it over fine leg, then you can move across leg stump to hit it over cover
Basics:
1. Remove the impact player rule and have an injury sub who can only replace an injured player and can bat only if the player he is replacing hasn't gotten out already and can bowl only the remaining quota of the bowler he replaces. So no 12th man.
2. Bigger boundaries! Some of these grounds have crazy short boundaries.
3. Better pitches which has swing initially and decent turn for the spinners.
4. 5 over powerplay should be sufficient.
Allowing 2 bouncers was a very welcoming move. But bowlers don't seem to be using that effectively! Again with these shorter boundaries, that might take the edge and go for six as well on most occasions! 😵💫
Need more rules to help bowlers . It's getting a batsman dominated game slowly
Not slowly.. Quickly
Appreciate the thought process.... But still if a bowler bowls to the leg side wide crease, the batsman can still pick it cuz it is bowled to his legs.... A couple of things that can bring the bowlers into the game is the pitch condition and the boundary size
Excellent analaysis Shaun also Just bring a white Duke ball with a more pronounced seam and more lacquer and then we will see how many of these so called big hitters do their big hitting
Just make the pitches slightly bowler friendly, all batters will struggle, an even playing field is what's required. Put the boundaries back where it originally belonged
icc: we're bringing an impact player rule instead
FABULOUS ANALYSIS ❤
Most cricket recently happened in India since the ODI wc. Just because its easier to score in white ball cricket in India doesnt means rules of the sport needs to be changed
Everywhere pitches are made flat, 2 new balls, no reverse swing. Proper recipe for 330+ consistent scores
One simple change- switch to a Dukes ball that has a more pronounced seam. That ways it will swing and spin more. Then we'll see how good the batsmen are!
I found Polly, Gilly and Vaughan as best experts in cricbuzz. Always bring different thinking of one topic.
1. Two bowlers can bowl 5 overs each.. If a batsman can bat 20 overs, bowlers shud be allowed the luxury
Imagine bumrah/narine inform bowler bowling 5 overs
2. Make power play 5 overs
I think there should be some doping test done on all matches. Something has changed either the ball or bat something has changed hugely. Because this year anyone is hitting big sixes .even karn sharma hit sixes to starcs . Unbelievable
3 sixes in a row 😂
3 sixes in a row 😂
@@_RahulDewangan yess quite surprising. Even see today's match they just chased 165 around 10 overs . Couldn't believe my eyes . Although shots were good but is it really that easy to score . They treat bowlers like small kids . Even international good bowlers are also treated like shit
Here are some of my inputs:
1. Make the outfield slow. The boundary size cannot be increased so atleast we can decrease the speed of ball in outfield.
2. In case of dew, replace ball every 2 overs and put the old ball inside a powder or something which absorbs all water from the ball. The ball can then be reused as well.
3. Allow bowlers to bowl from any hand. If batters can switch their position, why not bowlers?
4. Remove pitching outside leg stump from LBW dismissal rule.
5. Remove free hit rule on no balls.
6. Ensure that the boundary size at every ground is at least 65 metres. It's not necessary to have uniform circular boundary size/cushion.
7. Any ambiguous wide or no ball call to be given in favour of bowler.
8. Front foot no ball to be given only if the foot is outside the line. Make on the line a legal delivery.
9. Allow the bowling team to change the ball anytime. Batters are allowed to change their bats anytime but not bowlers.
10. Use a timer like football for determining slow over rates. Observe if the batting team is making delays and make a punishment for them as well.
Great suggestion 👍❤
Finally someone is talking about this. The battle between bat and ball needs to be rebalanced.
Forget about the shots that batters are playing but even if we stick to the line & lengths, there is some terrible bowling in IPL which is leading to high scores. There are so many full tosses, many more in the slot, too many extras. Bowlers need to be innovative as well other than just holding the ball and throwing it and see where it goes.
In The pressure of Bowling Yorkers Full Toss is being bowled, And with The Dew its not Easy to bowl Yorker, V should understand that and then Blame bowlers
Easier said than done..
@@chiragharish1020 It was done earlier. The bowling standards, at least from the viewer's point of view, have drastically fallen this year.
@@niteshm6302 Yorker isn't the only good delivery.
@@tejaa07 There is no swing for any bowler, there is no big ground..batsman game with impact player rule ..players taking more risk
excellent polly. for a rhb, if the guidelines of a wide move towards his right on his shuffle across the crease towards off, so should happen towards his left.
Boundaries just cannot be shorter than 72-75 m !
If bats are thicker, pitches are flat, then atlear boundaries shouldn't be small
Brilliant suggestion!! Love when these experts show why they are so called experts unlike some of the parrots..
valid point shaun!!
what about the inability of bowlers to consistently bowl yorkers? Half of them dont even try it they just take the pace off and bang it into the surface
So you expect bowlers to ball single perfect delivery but the batsmen can even mishit for a six because the boundary was 55 metres? One can ask a batsman why is he failing to connect a reverse swinging delivery for six easily.
There is no bowler in the world, no matter how physically strong they are, that can consistently bowl Yorkers
This has to be one of the worst takes i have seen so far
Bowling consistent Yorkers requires both skill and fitness. Now that the opportunities are limited not a lot of bowlers want to stretch to do that for the fear of getting injured and missing more matches
I think 2 things which might be thought about:
1. We need a bowling powerplay where maybe you can have more than 5 fielders outside inner circle for that period or something like that
2. Many talked about it, if umpire is convinced that batsmen tried to switch hit, outside leg should also be outside off
That's a great idea and also it's within batter area
Make the boundaries 80m on all sides, this will ensure that only 2 or 3 players in a team can hit sixes. These 55-65m boundaries are a joke.
Agreed
I like the idea
Glad to see support for bowlers in tje comment section. I am so tired of seeing mishit sixes
Just push thee boundaries and chhage the PP rule ,maybe allow one more Player outside 30-yard
I believe in what Polly says atleast give the bowlers some leeway else its just go in and get smashed!!Its completely a batters game these days in the shorter format
Perfectly reasonable demand for change Polly! We want a thrilling and equal contest between a bat and a ball and not just a run-fest. It will soon get boring and unappealing.
Keep them coming 😊
How about T20 is played in pink ball, and bowling team is allowed to use sand paper like scrubber to rough up the ball after 10 overs, to the extent this doesn't discolor the ball
1) Bigger boundaries 75m
2) Ball that swings for longer
3) more leniency for wides.
No impact sub
@@kevinroark5815Impact sub isn't in international cricket and from IPL as well it will go soon. It has tinkered with the fundamentals of cricket, so it will go for sure
I just don't understand why 10 batsmen should be allowed to bat in a 20-overs game! Instead of increasing batsmen with Impact Sub and such idiocy, there should actually be a decrease in the number of batsmen!
For the batters, there has been a lot of improvement in bats but what improvements have happened in the ball to help the bowlers?
Good point
Save the batters in green top & dust bowls
you are a clown for saying this 🤡
Long boundary better pitch Bett ball
Seems like Harsha is going out of Cricbuzz … he has his own channel …
As Jarrod Kimber would say, let the World cups appear and see all the high scoring games disappear
Push the boundaries further.
Use white Duke instead of kookaburra ball.
Eliminate the rule of pitching leg for LbW dismissal.
Get rid of this STUPID IMPACT SUB rule.
Just improve the pitch and bowlers will again be bought into game
Thats why Sachin ❤ is the greatest
Awesome
I think there is no need of rule change, batsmens game is developing but bowlers are staying wherever they are,for me the bowlers skills has to improve, they should be able to nail atleast 3-4 yorkers in an over,i know its tough but they are getting paid crores to that, its their job.
Rules makers in icc🤡
Inspite of this Rule there should be a rule that one of your Bowler will Bowl 5 over in place of 4 overs in (T20) & 12 OVERS IN PLACE OF 10 (IN odi)
Imagine Bumrah Rashid khan Starc Pat cummins Zampa will be bowling 5 overs from 20 overs
Ashwin ko bhi lao for the T20 WC
Also, some more rules that can be added:
1) If a batsman is hit in the pad, regardless of umpire decision. If the bowl hits the stump, the bats man is out.
Whether it be pitching outside, impact outside or whatsoever. If the final ball hit the stump, then it is a wicket.
2) The batsman can not cover all the stumps and has to be inside the crease before the bowler releases the ball.
Basically if we moderate your suggestions you want 5-6 stump 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Pitching outside leg being not out is a scientific thing bro, it's related to the concept of blind spot of a batter, so that must stay. But yes the impact part and the clipping of wickets remaining not out on umpire's call, these 2 should definitely change. Specially the impact part seems so stupid, what's to do with the point impact, when the ball is ultimately hitting the stumps.
@@ritwikghosh7743 these all technologies work on assumptions after impact what they do, make a trajectory which is totally imagination,
No clue for the speed, bounce, turn
Increase the boundaries limits.,
That should be 110 meters😂😂😂
Every bowler will saved😂😂
