You know, I know I’m not the only one who finds it extremely impressive that this man and under nine months re-uploaded over 100 videos from his old channel and made plenty of new ones and under nine months so lads, let’s give them round of applause
Hearing someone take on projects that require heavy reliance on voice work and they choose not to use any form of AI nowadays is something that is so relieving to hear, huge respect for you tug
Surprised to hear Eppleton Hall wasn't more popular. I had never even heard of the vessel, but cheered when she blew her whistle coming into San Francisco. She's a beautiful ship with a mighty story to tell. I think it'll be amazing to see what you do with your layout now. The room and opportunities for expansion seem endless. Also, I think staying off Twitter might do wonders. Breaking away from Reddit did good for me, now I just need to stop scrolling down into RUclips comments. Humanity is better than a few comments on a dying website.
I'm probably not alone on this but Toy Story is definitely worth talking about. It's the franchise that started it all, it put Pixar on the map and I think it might just be my favorite Pixar franchise. Happy new year Tug!
Let’s also not forget that the first toy story movie can claim the title of the first computer animated movie in history. For every computer animated movie to come, I think it’s very fair to more or less judge the era of CG animation based on the contemporary Pixar movies all because of their start with Toy story. For example: even if the polar express movie is my favorite Christmas movie after reading the book, and the embellishments; it came out five days after the Incredibles which was also groundbreaking for the time. Happy new year to everyone, and here’s to the year 2024!
So far we have seen: Season 1 (1984) - *COMPLETE* Season 2 (1986) - *INNOVATIVE* Season 3 (1991) - *BIG* Season 4 (1994) - *COMFY* Season 5 (1998) - *PEAK* Season 6 (2002) - *CUTE* Season 7 (2003) - *EYE OF THE STORM* Jack & the Pack (2003) - *QUAINT* Season 8 (2004) - *MILQUETOAST* Season 9 (2005) - *???* I hope that we will reach the CGI era (AKA Season 13) by the end of 2024...
Season 9 = *Stale bread* . Not terrible, but definitely not good, and it's clear the show is not fresh and is aging badly at this point ... it's not getting better any time soon. Still watchable but anything you add to it at this point is going to be overshadowed by its faults, and it's reasonable to abandon it at this point.
My hat goes off to you for remaking TUGS with Salty's lighthouse footage. Watching Salty's lighthouse is like being waterboarded and video editing is about as fun as being set on fire. So your taking the time to provide us with a remastered TUGS series is really admirable, since nobody else would have the stomach for it. Seriously, I cannot put into words how sad I feel that TUGS has never got a second series, so I'm very grateful to anyone and everyone who works to keep it alive.
Really I think it's impressive that despite that atrocious roadblock last year you still managed to bounce back and basically continue with a new account like nothing happened. A pretty solid haul of content came 2023 and this year looks promising too. :D
I’m excited for everything you’re going to do in the new year Tug. You are the biggest inspiration for us all. You never throw in the towel and just keep going. I’m impressed. Congratulations to you for quitting Twitter, I don’t know why I’m still on that hellsite. I only use it to talk with friends to grow my channel.
Looking forward to 2024 and thanks for everything so far! If the Flying Scotsman documentary did well, perhaps a part 2 on the ‘88-89 trip to Australia would be an idea? It probably wouldn’t need to be as long a video as there was less drama but it was an impressive trip, she traversed the whole continent.
I think I remember Tugs and also Theadore Tugboat and I grew up watching TLC so I remember Sally’s Lighthouse among other shows and how they did the segments like Shining Time did Thomas
Looking forward to everything this year! Out of curiosity, do you plan to do Sodor's Finest Videos for Edward and Gordon in the current format? I know you talked about their RWS versions in great detail but I'm sure people would love to hear you break down their Model Series and CGI Series counterparts.
a fun little fact, the Small Locomotive in Tugs at 8:48 is a old German DRG Class 80 with addional Westernized Cowcatcher, Lamp and Spark-arresting thingy on the smokestack. And i noticed it because instantly, you will like that a fellow modelrailway fan, they and the sister Class 89 are the most produced model train engines in the world since they get build for ages and every company has either one of them in their catalog in every size and every model roader might either have one or at least knows them since they are often the basic starter set engines.
Yeah, congrats on quitting Twitter, Tugs! I basically have myself, although at the same time I’ve done my best to only search for stuff that isn’t, you know, *_horrendously toxic,_* which has helped my feed have mostly good stuff every time I’ve gone on it as of late, whiiich hasn’t been very often, thankfully. Like I said, _mostly,_ but some still crops up, so I just avoid it as much as possible. Now the only question is what to use to replace it, if anything?
Always a joy watching the longer videos. So much effort and passion making the videos and really does make watching then a pleasure. The flying Scotsman USA documentary is a great informative video. I would love to see one on the Australian tour. Videos and information are hard to find about the Australian tour so I believe you would get similar if not better views then the USA tour video. Hope the new year serves you well. Look forward to all videos you release. I’m regularly rewatching old favourites.
I have to say, the documentaries you've done are are awesome. The Eppleton Hall video is probably my favorite video you've done. to the point i had to go and see her in San Francisco. thank you for opening my eyes to her epic tale. i really look forward to seeing a video on Hercules & Star of Alaska/Balclutha? How long till a Sodors finest on Donald & Douglas?.... keep up the good work kind regards GQ
Happy New Year, Tug! Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful content. I hope 2024 is good for you and doesn't throw up anymore nasty surprises.
All my respect goes for you, Tug. Your videos are absolutely fantastic, and it's great to see that my childhood, AKA Thomas, wasn't just some stupid kids show with amazing and stunning model work as I remembered. Actually it is, cause I watched the later HiT seasons and some Nitrogen ones. When I started watching you, I only wanted to relieve some nostalgia, but then I learned about the first five season, Tugs, the Railway Series (yeah, I didn't knew about these). I was really touched by the love and dedication of the Reverend, the train enthusiants and you, the fandom. So I wanted to read the books with my little sister. The only problem is, there wasn't any books translated to Hungarian. Neither Tugs. So my new year's vow is to translate every Railway Series book in the next ten years, with some rewrites here and there, basically adding my own touch to it. Thank you for inspiring me to do this, thank you for introducing me to these wonderful books and shows,
18:10 I'd love to see the Hercules video, Was waiting patiently since you talked about doing the documentary the first time. Hope to see that this year. Let 2024 be a way better year
That background on Tugs and what your various dubs and edits were the painstaking result of REALLY sold the entire series to me. I only knew so much about Tugs, but hearing your coverage of its history and community development exposes me to the depth of the series and its impact. Thank you Tug! Wishing you a happy and fruitful 2024. Kudos on quitting Twitter.
I think 1 goal this year should be to get this channel to the point the old one was (unless you get that channel back which at this point is unlikely). C'mon guys help Nick get this channel even better than the old one!
Happy New Year, Tug! Here’s to hopefully a great 2024, and plenty of continued success for your channel! Also, I’m surprised the Eppleton Hall documentary didn’t do well.
I can understand not posting on Twitter anymore. I heard how complicated it's become in recent years, and I've not bothered joining because I'm happy with Facebook, Instagram, RUclips and DeviantArt, but I'm definitely not joining Twitter. So I feel you, Nic. As for your other videos, I understand 2023 has been a real stress (and trust me, I've had stress too), but hey, we can improve from that. Keep up the good work anyway, Unlucky Tug! 👍 And happy New Year! 🥳
I actually still use and like my twitter. Aside from that sudden change to the logo. And I still enjoy most of the content you've posted. I honestly don't think it's all bad.
I hope we get to see more funny kinds of videos too throughout the year, especially with your friends. Don't know if you're planning on reuploading the "Unanswerable Thomas Questions" videos, but I liked those plus the other reaction videos you did! Hope 2024 is a good year for you!
I watch every video you post because they're so well done whether it be about Star wars, Tugs, Thomas, whatever the topic is. I'm one of those that also loved the documentaries as I had never seen one on the flying Scotsman U.S. tour before and yours hit home perfectly. The same can be said about Appleton Hall. I recommend your channel to people at train shows every chance I get because your channel is worth every minute. It is a shame that last year went the way that it did with such a rocky start, BUT seeing the support from other Thomas channel creators really show how much we all care for you. Heck I found out about your channel take down from Victor Tanzig and that was the last thing I expected to see. Whatever you post I will be all for it and if you're going to do a science fiction movie rating have you considered doing Star Trek, I know it's probably not your forte but maybe something to consider. Either way I'm here for it and I will always look forward to the next video.
Happy New Year, Tug! The perseverance and dedication that you showed last year was truly admirable, and I'm looking forward to seeing all that you have in store this year. I'm especially looking forward to when Donald & Douglas get the spotlight on Sodor's Finest, since they're my favorite characters and they seem to be very highly requested by many others too. More Thomas Retrospectives will be a lot of fun too, as will all the new TUGS stuff you've been doing. Here's to a great 2024!
Happy New Years! Thank you so much for your dedication to your craft and the wonderful contener that makes all of us so happy and proud to be a part of this journey
Hey Tug! Better Late Than Ever As They Say Right?
Well, that's a great update video. Didn't expect to see you in person on video again since last time but nice to know what you look like and all. As for your choice to have a special and a season in one video, I like the idea because it would be way cool that way and I look forward to that. For Sodor's Finest, I hope that the first video would be Donald and Douglas because I would really like to see it and Oliver and Daisy can be my second and third hopes after that but we'II see when you decide whom to pick. For next Pixar talk, either Toy Story or Monsters Inc would do for it. I'II miss messaging you on Twitter since I like telling you stuff and Instagram is not easy access to me. I wish the best of luck for this year and I'II subscribe to your other channel as soon as I can.
If I'm guessing that the next Sodor's finest could be about Oliver and maybe combine it with Toad and we'll get some major episodes talked about these being escape, Oliver owns up, Toad stands by, Oliver's find, busy going backwards, snow engine, Toad's adventure, Toad's bright idea and maybe even Toad and the whale despite already being reviewed in the another top 10 hidden CGI gems of Thomas
14:43 I’d say have a section of the retrospectives be about the movie and what it adds to the seasons like how calling all engines adds Emily to the steam team or the airport
It's great to see you do your back after 2 weeks. And after watching this my thoughts are I am glad to see you go through your projects and goals ahead in mind. If you were to do a pixar talk I would LOVE to see finding Nemo review on this but I'm not tug so it's not my finale decision so yeah. I am excited for the thomas retrospective coming and I hope we can get to season 11 and the great discovery. I really expected you to do documentary and I really was suprised to see you riding the fentes with it. I loved those documentaries. And it's sad to see you leave Twitter but I understand and respect your decision. And respct you in genral. I will ride this train with you all for this coming year. ❤ have a great day and see you all in 2024. Bye
Speaking of star wars, I wish people would compare the pod race with the movie Cars because I 'm the only who combined the two and my cars pod race barely has any views
Honestly, good job on not using Twitter man. These days Twitter is just a cesspool of negativity, drama, and the occasional racism. Nobody wants to be apart of the mess that is Twitter.
Happy 2024 Tug, hope this year is even better for you and I’d love to see a video on Toy Story movies and I of course am looking forward to more Thomas content
You know, I know I’m not the only one who finds it extremely impressive that this man and under nine months re-uploaded over 100 videos from his old channel and made plenty of new ones and under nine months so lads, let’s give them round of applause

“BABE, WAKE UP! THE UNLUCKY TUG DROPPED A NEW VIDEO.”
DAMN YOU I WAS GONNA COMMENT THAT
@@personal9146 😂😭
Just when you thought she couldn’t roll her eyes any harder
Tugs
As soon as this video came up I almost screamed. I'd been waiting all day for it.

Season 1 (1984) - *COMPLETE*
Season 2 (1986) - *INNOVATIVE*
Season 3 (1991) - *BIG*
Season 4 (1994) - *COMFY*
Season 5 (1998) - *PEAK*
Season 6 (2002) - *CUTE*
Season 7 (2003) - *EYE OF THE STORM*
Jack & the Pack (2003) - *QUAINT*
Season 8 (2004) - *MILQUETOAST*
Season 9 (2005) - *???*
I hope that we will reach the CGI era (AKA Season 13) by the end of 2024...

For me tug will arrive at season 12
Season 9 Would Be: *Watered-Down*
Season 9= mediocre not good and not bad either
I almost autocompleted it to "Season 5 (1998) - *COUCH* " before my common sense caught up.
My hat goes off to you for remaking TUGS with Salty's lighthouse footage. Watching Salty's lighthouse is like being waterboarded and video editing is about as fun as being set on fire. I think this could also be helpful for the US Dub as he already got the clips in order.
Happy new year Tug, let’s hope that 2024 will be a good year for all of us.
We’ll keep the channel growing with all our great support through the good years.
Though this year was sort of tough, you pulled through dude! I am really excited for the content of this year! Have a great year Unlucky Tug!
Can't wait to see what's next tug! We will always be here for you
Ey, I'm just happy you're still chugging along despite all the difficulties you've had to endure last year. Do what you gotta do!
Very curious about what this new project you have planned in January is, it seems like something your very passionate about!
Yeah Me To. As Soon As I Heard That There Is A Thomas Documentary In The Making, I Became Super Excited. Also Hi Thomas Theorist! I Love Your Channel!
I'm surprised the Eppelton Hall video didn't do as well as I expected. I find that story (and the way you told it) so inspiring!
This is a MASSIVE update video. Happy New Year Tug!
I going to say it Salty’s Lighthouse version of Tugs is like the HIT era of Thomas & Friends
Don't insult the HIT era of Thomas like that. I don't even like it but Salty's TUGS is just so bad.
@@demon2441 true the Nitrogen era and Big World Big Adveture era are worse
Good to see your face again Nick, hope you had a happy new year. 2023 was rough but there’s a whole new year ahead of you.
Glad you bounced back and glad that you left Twitter.
Happy new year, mate. Here’s to a good year for the Unlucky Tug!
I used to watch TUGS on TLC through their early morning school, Salty's Lighthouse
tug i love ur freakin star wars video and i was so worried u werent continuing it thank u for giving the update
Unlucky Tug is going to watch Misty Island again
Scott McNeil as Zorran was an absolute A+ casting choice tbh.
Glad to see there's more to look forward to from you coming this year.
Really I think it's impressive that despite that atrocious roadblock last year you still managed to bounce back and basically continue with a new account like nothing happened. A pretty solid haul of content came 2023 and this year looks promising too. :D
FINALLY! YOU’RE THINKING OF COVERING THE TOY STORY SAGA ON PIXAR TALK SOON! THANK YOU, TUG, JUST THANK YOU!
Imagine if Thomas was the next one to be covered for Sodor's Finest. That would be a megasode!
Good to have you back, man. I can’t wait for new stuff to come in 2024! The Unlucky Tug will be stronger than ever!
Tug is one of the only youtubers that have there face fitting there voice. Btw happy new year tug😊😊😊😊
I’m excited for everything you’re going to do in the new year Tug. You are the biggest inspiration for us all. You never throw in the towel and just keep going. I’m impressed. I'm so hyped for all the amazing content coming this year!
I can hear someone yelling in the background after 10:48 saying the most accurate saying.
“You foolish mortal.”
Yeah I find Twitter negative too.
2024's gonna be wild
Just subscribed last month and I can’t wait for new content this year!
Here’s to a great 2024!
Honestly, good job on not using Twitter man.
These days Twitter is just a cesspool of negativity, drama, and the occasional racism.
Nobody wants to be apart of the mess that is Twitter.
Despite the trouble in last year, it's good to see that you're doing good! Whishing the best for this year🎉❤
Happy new year!
Time for more Tugs trains 🎉🎉🎉
