There are hidden political and economic pressures / threats that Orban faces. I have tried to explain the situation before, but the censorship is very tight around this subject. Simply put, Hungary is landlocked, has very few friends in the EU and NATO and there have been and continue to be vigorous efforts to create regime change in Hungary. There also has been a Zionist dream to turn Hungary into a Jewish state. Read Koestler's The Thirteenth Tribe and research Camp Szarvas. There is much more to this regarding funding and efforts through various oligarchs and USAID, but I'll be lucky if this comment survives as it is.

Hungary does not have to invoke Article 5. If Hungary proves this attack was sponsored by Ukraine (or used Ukrainian agents), they can declare it an act of war, and go to war with Ukraine.

The last such a threat was about 2 weeks ago, when Ukraine accused Hungary of sending drones into Ukraine. No proof required. Ukrainian officials, including Zelinsky told they will retaliate. If article 5 is used against Ukraine it would allow NATO troops to go into Ukraine under article 5 with the pretense of attacking Ukraine or at least to put it under military control. It this not what NATO / EU want.
Has anyone here actually read Article 5 of the NATO Treaty? Article 5 states "...if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognised by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, SUCH ACTION AS IT DEEMS NECESSARY, INCLUDING THE USE OF ARMED FORCE ...". It's no more of a guarantee then "I'll call you in the morning"! It's the kind of phrase used by lawyers when they don't want to commit their client to honor a contract.

Even if they use article 5, NATO will not actually fight Ukraine - they will without any resistance enter Ukraine and occupy everything up to the frontline. In other words, it will be used as an excuse for NATO to be in Ukraine with boots on the ground.
NATO is unable to deploy more than 2 divisions..which would be targeted relentlessly. No matter WHAT NATO try, they're in a no-win situation.
