Yea, i appreciate it. i Called True to see if the Early ecms where like this one and they said no . so , this is a weird failure. one of the windings opened up inside so its only like working on half a motor kind of. and no 9w marking weird motor.
yea, i ve seen those ecm motors in the supply houses with the green plastic on them. i have not replaced any ecm motors yet except of walk in freezers.
Use the Rescue E5C5411E motor and if you want to use a relay instead of the amps going through the Tstat use a Siemens 3TX7131-4CF13 relay dpst 30amp 120vac. Great enclosed relay
Thanks HD. the start seemed a little odd though. it was leaking oil pretty good & 10 years old. so I changed it. this owner wants all his fan motors changed at 10 years & all start components. He does not like or want emergency’s or downtime if poss. it has worked out well changing motors at 10 years. I find they are going slow and on thier way out anyhow.
yea, I believe your right throttle. somehow that unit got a ecm motor put in it 10 years ago and the factory did not even know it. I called factory true said it was not built with a ecm. it must have been #1 off the line. motor was leaking badly so , it needed changed anyhow. at 10 years I change motors no matter what. I find they are going slower at that age & ready to die anyhow.
@@throttlebottle5906 I’m 100% sure it’s original ! Totally factory wiring. I’m the only guy that services there since 2003. It’s Just a Super Early ecm. No green markings etc. Looks just like old 6 watt motor from back in the day. But , you caught the trick words “ Electronically protected “ vs thermally protected. Good eyes 👀 throttle !!
I’ve all ways used the danfoss controls. they work well. I’ve just started using the Ranco controls for these applications since the danfoss is no longer available. so , I cannot give u an opinion yet.
The 290 units use ECM on condenser and evap they have a green bottom if it's ECM

Thanks for the info. 👍
Another great video OC 👍👍👍
Thanks Harry 😅
Enjoy your channel👍 Keep up the good vids. Cheers!!!
Thanks 👍
Evap fan start looks normal for an EC fan motor, they think about it for a few seconds before starting.

Well that stinks that there was no Watt info on the old motor.
Cant tell if its a 6Watt or 9Watt. maybe a 6watt if 9W was slightly too big.
best to allways go by the amps anyhow ! old one was rated at .6 amps. the new one is good to .62 amps.
