Great video thanks- but how do we handle local currency if no lookup on exchange rate source?? For example in your video how would you handle NZD if sale made in that currency but not on exchange rate table?
Sam, great video. Question: my sales table includes sales in the local currency, how can I add these sales to the total, when they do not have a currency pair in the exchange table. In your example, this would be sales in NZD.

Dear Sam Your tutorial is very useful. I`d like to ask about FX rates differencies. example: There is a value in PLN with date 20.11.2021 equals 100 PLN, USD exchange rate is 4.1. 100 PLN = 24.39 USD Then we have correction in December 20.12.2021 equals -100PLN, Usd Exchange rate is 3.9 : -100PLN = -26,64 USD After aggegation we have: 0 PLN = -2.25 USD. How you deal with that problem? Best regards

Hello Sir, Here is the detailed note about POWER BI issue. - I need a POWER BI report in USD format, but after formatting also i'm seeing reports in INR format. I've tried all the formatting set up in power BI, but still seeing the same issue. Assumption: When I downloaded POWER BI, my system set up in INR, but now I changed as USD. But it's not reflecting in POWER BI. Please assist me to solve the same.
If I just have a table containing the headers ITEM, COST(IN WHICHEVER CURRENCY IT CAME FROM), MARKET(RELATING TO COUNTRY CURRENCY) can I get powerBI to get the exchange rate if I wish to convert all of it to Canadian-CAD? I don't want to add another column of currencies if I do not have to. Is this possible?

Hi i got a question.. i wrote the same measurement like this: Total Annual Salary in USD= Measure 1:=SUMX(HC,HC[Annual Salary]/ LOOKUPVALUE('Exh Rate'[Exch_Rate], 'Exh Rate'[Calendar],HC[Reporting Date], 'Exh Rate'[Currency],HC[Currency]) ) However, i got a #NUM! as a result is there any mistake here? i double check and the names are correct for each table and Column. I would appreciate any help!
I use the exchange rates published by our country's central bank but they do not publish exchange rates for weekends, only monday through fridays. We have sales all year long and the exchange rate table has missing dates, any suggestions on how to work with this data?
That's an interesting use case, that would take a little while to explain. You need to use the LASTNONBLANK function to retrieve the last exchange rate, amongst some other logic. I'll look to make a video on this in the near future.
