Thanks mate! The 300 is bags of fun mate, I wouldn't say I'm tired of it by any means, but I am hungry for more power. I went on a big street meet ride recently and there wasn't any flack at all about riding a 300, it's got the looks, it's got the go, and it handles great. Great on fuel to.
They go well getting up to speed. Freeway pull is enough to safely overtake cars but that's about it. It's the perfect learner bike. Fun in the twisties.
I mate, I use an olympus voice recorder (cheapest I could find that had internal memory 2gb) and a mic I got off ebay. Just make sure the mic is for voice recorders and not for a mobile phone, and also that is had a black fluffy thing on the end of it to reduce wind noise. Sorry I don't know what they're called.
put mine on a dyno today, only mods are a MGP Growler slip-on, and a 15t front sprocket. End result was 37HP. I'll have a video up probably sometime tomorrow in case you're interested. Does yours have any mods?
Hey Philly, I have a question that I really need answered please. What mic are you using on your helmet cam? Why does it not pic up insane amounts of wind and your voice sounds so clear while motovlogging. My voice sounds distorted when I speak =/
The Screaming Demon exhaust sounds perfect on the 300! I'm a newer rider from the states and have a Suzuki TU250x as my first bike, but after watching yours and Sly's vids I should have gone with my gut and purchased a sport bike. Do you see yourself getting tired of the Ninja 300 or will you keep it? I do city riding so a bigger bike seems pointless but wanted to get your thoughts since you've had yours for a while now. Great vids btw - they have me sold on the bike for sure!
39hp will be the best possible result they got after experimenting with fuel types, engine temperatures, brand new chain etc. All manufactures are going to talk up their product the best they can. It won't be impossible but I doubt there is a stock standard ninja 300 on the street that makes 39hp. Full exhaust, air filter, upgraded ecu and you can expect 43-45hp
Right, thanks. I went back to stock and the bike has been much better, smoother, better acceleration, and secretly I think the sound is still better stock, doesn't sound like a dirtbike anymore.
Thanks for the upload. I'm about to dynotune my 300 with Arrow slip on and was wondering whether i should leave the baffle in or not. So based on your video, i will take the baffle out for a little more power 😆
I'd say it's made a difference even on paper but at $70 a dyno I'll just leave it. I've got a list of go fast bits for my next bike zx6 or zx10 not sure but I'm thinking the zx6.
I got the yoshi slip on a couple days ago. So with the baffle in it's making about 32hp, that's worse than stock. I just saw a stock ninja 300 do 35hp and 18 torque. Do you think it needs to be tuned. I felt like it was a bit slower after I put the exhaust on. Got the baffle in atm, maybe I should take it out because it looked like you had normal hp and torque with it out...
Remember stock is claimed to be 35 not actually hits that in real world conditions it’s hitting 33. This is HP to the wheel if your getting 30 to 33 on stock your good if let say you get full system exhaust, velocity stacks, K&N filter, custom Tune, block off plate for AFR. You’ll be getting around 35 to 36 HP to the wheel. Might gain a 21 % percent increase on stock but that’s it. Even if you spend another 2 grand for going in the engine it would only add another 2 ,3 horse power to the wheel. Let’s say top speed if you with light battery and rider is 150 pounds . You’ll be getting 115/116 top speed from real world 111mph if you go into the engine you might match the ninja 400 on top speed 118 to 120 tops but that’s all you can squeeze for the little engine not if you go full track spec you might go top speed any where from 120 to ,125 but that’s it and that would cost a shit load.
The only reason I watched this is because my friend told me your face is in it! The mystery has been solved!!!!!!!!! Besides that Good Samaritan video you posted ages ago ahhaha
Mate, good question. It is strange but I do believe with the exhaust the bike actually lost some power. So it could be due to that but not sure. Maybe the oil used or something I failed to do in the engine brake in process? I'm not sure. It wouldn't surprise me if 300's for the Aus market were tuned down a little lower. Everything in Australia sucks to do with laws/restrictions. We can't even have those green laser pointers lol. One big nanny country mate but that's due to the idiots that run it
In Germany, the tax, insurance and required license depends on the HP. So when the manufacturer is talking up his Bike, then you gotta pay more then you should have. Well, this ain't a fair world anyway XD
As I read the comments below. Is it better to just keep the stock exhaust for performance? I don't race or anything, but I want to make the most out of it. I have a Leo Vince GP corsa slip on, (I was being cheap at that time). There are times where I hear backfires which also that throws me off. Now I'm wondering if I should stick with my stock exhaust -__- or keep my aftermarket exhaust for better performance. A comment with anyone who can help will be so much appreciated. Thank you.

it's 39 HP at the crankshaft, dude, the 34HP this guy got was measured at the wheel
amazing video... f**kin love the 300! ur editing is getting great too
Good result mate! I just have a slip on and K&N air filter. But when this dyno was done I had the stock filter.
Haven't looked yet, although considering some performance mods now. I'll look into prices etc

Yea I have him subed he works on his bike a lot its a great bime

Now that you have the K&N do you think the HP or Torque would be different?

How tall are you and how much do you weigh . I'm considering getting that bike also
for a optimized motor that is a pretty big gain on a small displacement bike
Right, thanks. I went back to stock and the bike has been much better, smoother, better acceleration, and secretly I think the sound is still better stock, doesn't sound like a dirtbike anymore.

What exhaust is that? And is it a slip on or full system? Because I really like the sound of it.

I meant ninja like.. swords and smoke, hiding in the shadows.. you know NINJA! But I do like the green to.
Nice video! BTW what's your exhaust?
Decided to keep it true ninja spec
Hp on weel? Nice bike...
5'10 and about 75kg mate. It's comfortable for me, I'm not very tall though.
What made you go for black?
Why only do roll on? Wanted to see fast acceleration and all gear run :(
how are thies getting up to speed say 80 90 and how does it pull on the freeway
what pipe you got on there and whats it like ?
how much can you gain from full exhaust, air filter and sprocket? most of the time we only see them with one of the things, and they do around 35-37HP
Mate a 2HP increase is big in this situation! Please tell me what the effect on top speed was with the power increase?
Oh haha. It was always my plan to show my face at 5000 subs but I guess it's out there now lol
Not the first time. Was in the good Samaritan video too...
in asia just 170 km/h
FKMovers “just”? ayfkm? it’s a 300, still

ahha justin is a top bloke at steelhorse, so is kathy
isnt true ninja green though? but i do like the black
Are you serious? I live in asia, i have a ninja300 NOT tuned, just changed the exhaust, and i did 192 km/h
Kawasaki says that the ninja 300 has got 39 hp and 27 nm torque ... why are all the dyno results different? and how much power does it really have?
There is different between engine hp and wheel hp.
What kind. Of exhaust do you have on it?
For anyone interested - I saw a video recently from spacep0d. Full exhaust system and flashed ecu achieves a 5hp gain. 40hp! Great! :)
correction - 40hp
The only reason I watched this is because my friend told me your face is in it! The mystery has been solved!!!!!!!!! Besides that Good Samaritan video you posted ages ago ahhaha
what is DYNO Run

All manufacturers measure the power at the crankshaft, worldwide.
Screaming Demon slip on :)

@OhPhilly oh ya lol my bad
are you serious? if so, its called Dynamometer a machine that measures horsepower. everyone calls it Dyno for short ,Dyna run would sound funny. :)
Stock exhaust and you get almost 41 HP ^^
That's exactly what I was wondering now too. Almost feels like a rip off.
As I read the comments below. Is it better to just keep the stock exhaust for performance? I don't race or anything, but I want to make the most out of it. Hehe I just bought a brand new yoshi full system last night. So well see how that goes -_-
Adam Cruz how did it go
I love it. The sound, performance, power. I also have a power commander 5. So it really made a big difference.
do you think you could upload a video..or send me some pics,im getting mine soon and want to do the exact same thing
Hmmnm I have some photo's of it. If you have Facebook joined the group Kawasaki Ninja 300. You'll see it there. :P
The guy with the camera was a little much
Audfile much what?
i dont think you should jump from a 300 to a 1 litre.bt im a squid lol.just make sure u decide carefully :)
gagiva mito 125 has 34 hp😂
Janne Heikkinen yep but its a 2 strokes so it goes like a 250 4s
Oh really? That sucks mate.
:O
we've seen your face
hah lol
:O
