One of the greatest Giant Killings this century or even in the history of the Scottish Cup former Junior Team now competing in League 2 Kelty Hearts knocking out the Holders St Johnstone out of the cup
I have to say I seen this one coming a mile off, stuck a tenner on Kelty at 6/1 but only over the 90 minutes, St.Johnstone are in a bad place at the moment, what a difference a season makes.
Well played Kelty. Great keeper, good passing, good pressing. And the goal was superb. Number 11 with ice in his veins sold three Premiership defenders a lemon before burying it. Quality stuff.
Saints have played above their level for a long time, low budget and awful fan base. ALmost every team in the championship would have a bigger home crowd than them.
Perth is overshadowed by Dundee on Tayside and Perth is very much a middle class town. Football fans are much more likely to come from working class areas.
Calum Davidson has to revert to something such as a 4-2-3-1 formation and stick to it. It provides any team that plays that formation with enough players at any time during the match to 'shut the back door' when needed, but always have the 'out ball' availble too to take the pressure off the defence and put the opposition on the back-foot. It simplifies the game too, everyone knows their job, in or out of possession and they gain confidence from that. The longer that game went on at nil/nil the more Kelty's confidence grew and the more it drained from the St. Johnstone players. This is what a bad run of results can do to any team in any league. Well done to the Kelty Jambos, you did yourselves and your town proud.
The 2 players that moved on from St Johnstone last summer were who made them a great team last season, without them they are well below average. Well done Kelty. 👏👌
Those were genuinely some world class saves from the kelty keeper haha

Great upset well done Kelty
Congratulations what a fairytale this team is
Oh my...
5:03 heartbreaking that didn't go in
Amazing stuff from the keeper!
Wild how St. Johnstone can manage to draw against Galatasaray and then lose to Kelty Hearts in the same season.
The fall of Saints is utterly staggering, something's clearly going on behind the scenes at that club.
Took the words right out out my mouth. From the heights of Galatasaray in Europe to being put out by Kelty. Funny auld game.
the fact st johnstone had to start diving to get some decisions is hilarious
Saints nearly beat Galatasaray away this season. Could Davidson get sacked? I'd say only if they go down, after how well they did last season.
Come on the wee hearts from a Dunfermline fans
Hilarious
Kt’s working wonders there, top lad 💙

@@wonjubhoy dunno if you have spent much time in Perth to think it’s middle class hahaha
The population in Perth is 45,000, how many fans do you expect them to have?? 🤦♂️
Come on kELTy
Great result, but the True Saints, will take about 5 off them 😇
