You have a pretty good load of logs, that saw is making pretty quick work of it.

I have a giant Shindiawa 757 that I use to buck with. That thing is honestly amazing. The main downside is a lack of aftermarket part. Your Sthil sounds pretty mean. You look like you've got a good amount of experience behind a saw too.

I have herd good things about shindiawa. The 461 turned out good! Thank you, I'm still learning. Haven't been cutting for very long. Before I bought this property I only used a chainsaw once in a while for recreational burning or clean up. Being here during 8 to 10 cords a year has taught me alot!

hi there that chicken is asking to be dinner , you with an Ax and wood blocks all around , looks like dinner to me . Have you ever tries sawing off the tractor forks ?i have it works the best most the time , keeps the chain out of the dirt more and alot less bending over , good show john

Yes, saw off the forks and grapple many times. However, 90% of the time, I saw my wood in the woods where I dropped the tree. I was just cleaning up stuff around the mill. My normal operation is cut tree down in woods. Buck and split it on site. As I'm splitting, into the obc tote it goes. Come back for the ibc tote when the ground is dry. Or, haul the split rounds out of the woods in the bed of the side by side. If I did all my logs in a wood yard, I would just use the forks like you. Everyone has a different situation. More than one way to skin a cat.

The 461 is a fantastic saw ! A built one with a sharp chain will make a stock 500i cry for momma! While the autotune/mtronic saws are great I always have a few ol school adj carb saws around in case I get the itch to turn screwdrivers 😂

There is nothing better than after a good day's work. Setting by a warm fire with the family with a cold beer looking over the farm, then at the family and thinking what a wonderful life. Be blessed. My friend.
