We were just here Jan.16 to 22 of this year 2022. We will be back, we enjoyed it so much, our stay was one of the best in our lifetime experience and one of my bucket list destinations. Thank God, we made it and we were safe.
5 o'clock rush hour in Waikiki is hilarious, you see so many people who just got off work heading for the beach with their surf boards and boogie boards XD
I miss Honolulu. So much fun. Just Too expensive. Parking is $50 a night and Hotels are sky rocketed like crazy high. And let me tell you the Car RentaL, charging arm and a Leg
It's beautiful for sure...I would always have the memory of the asian and japanese tsunamis in the back of my mind if I lived there. How high above sea level is the main streets of Honolulu??
Back to normal!!! I wonder if Fireworks Friday return for the Hilton Hawaiian village? Also, every June, Waikiki has that Pan Pacific Festival. But last June 2020, it got cancelled due to pandemic. Does anyone know if the Pan Pacific Festival return for this year 2021?
@@hawaiiwalker3436 You're right. I just take a look at their website: www.pan-pacific-festival.com/ & they announced that it's still cancelled... Bummer... There are 4 favorite festivals I like to attend at Waikiki every year: 1) Honolulu Festival with them Nagaoka Fireworks every March 2) Spam Jam Festival with so many food vendors to sample every April 3) Shinnyo-en Lantern Floating Festival every Memorial Day May 4) Pan Pacific Festival with them Taiko Drumming competition every June Although, "back to normal", still a long way to go until reach full normalcy. But no worries, from the looks of the progress, it seems to be Full Normalcy will be on 2022 for sure.
