It sounds like I was in the background at two of those booths while you were there. I only spotted you once at Milo’s booth. I heard the voice and knew immediately I was standing a few feet from a legend. My budget was already blown when I got to his booth but his bags of rough are too good a deal and I couldn’t pass it up. I started with cutting opals about 4 months ago and your videos have been a HUGE help.
I was lucky enough to purchase the last bag of 550 grams of rough Lightning Ridge Opal from Milo. This was my second year purchasing from his company and I am never disappointed!
Dave your knowledge and skills are fantastic explaining our opal treasures in our booth , we loved you stopping by and look forward to next meeting up with you , love from your aussie mates 🦋

Hey dave love the opal content!!! so wish i could make it out there. I met you at an airport in minneapolis or going to minneapolis (cant remember), but regardless thanks for the great consistent content brother!!
@@skinnyskinhead9492 I totally remember you, brother I think I gave you a small piece of turquoise or something. That’s totally a pleasure to meet you in the airport. Thanks for watching again my friend. Hope to see you soon.
I'm noticing if I play this at 1.75 speed when you are showing the opals in close-up, the depth & colours in the opals show up more, I guess because the images are more packed together at that speed, but if I play it at 2.0 the speed is too fast because of camera shake and length of time spent on each gem but also I think the eye (at least my own eye) can't take in all the visual depth fast enough. So I dunno if it is possible but maybe see if you are able to do a post-live, edited version where you show your favourite opal stones on 1.75 speed to show off the concentrations of colour better... lol, if that's not possible I will just run it faster at my end & hit the replay button a bunch of times ;-D
The shell is mud inside dont cut it. The hole is from a snail that drilled in and ate the clam. Keep it in water, dont try and improve it the color can be thin,
I was wondering what the prices on the chunks of opal fossil shells would be if that would be possible please just range’s would be great thank you for your time .

Thanks for showing me the prices brother much appreciated… I hope your trip is successful. I’ll be going there for the first time this year. I’m only bringing 5K with me because that’s what I was able to save up now all I have to do is purchase wisely hopefully there’s some shit still there by 11 by the 12th because I get there on the 11th. I’m going shopping ASAP, your videos have helped me identify some dealers that want to go to immediately if they still exist when I get there🫡
