Typically, a full refund applies if you were denied a study visa. All u need to do is to submit your Refusal letter to the school and u will get reimbursed. However, if this isn't your case, you will still have to reach out to the school and explain your reason for requesting a refund. They will always follow their refund policy and let u know if u qualify for a partial refund or otherwise.. Goodluck!!!

Hello Temitayo, There is nothing to worry about. International Students come all the time to Canada with their families. You all can apply at the same. You will have a student visa while your husband and infant can be on a visitor visa. If after your studies, you intend to stay longer and want your child to begin school, he/she visa can be changed to student visa This link below gives you the financial breakdown of the amount you have to show as proof of funds and living expenses for you and your family www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/get-documents.html#doc3
Thanks Sister, you have saved a life by your highly informative videos. Please i want to ask if i should rather apply for my study visa first instead of applying together with my wife and children? If i apply first, how soon can i do visiting visa for my wife and children?
If you want to apply for your entire family, have you considered applying as Permanent Residents instead? The pros of you all coming in as Permanent Residents outweighs the other option by far. You all will begin to enjoy free healthcare, cheaper tuition for you, free education for the kids (16 years or below), become Canadian citizens within 3 years, etc.. On the otherside, if you want to go with your original plan and apply for your study visa first, you can do that alone then invite your family afterwards. I'd say around 6 months into your study program as some people do here. That being said, permanent residence is a more preferred option in my opinion. I am not a licensed consultant so it's wise to seek the counsel of a consultant who is very reputable to provide counsel tailored to your needs. I wish you best of luck..
@@AdaoraUzoma Thank you so much, I wanted to apply for PR directly. However, I discovered that I don't have some of the requirements. Hello dear, please I’m currently applying for my student visa and I was asked “ is work and essential component for your studies” I choose yes because on my acceptance letter I was given a confirmation of employment and it stated that I must have a co-op work permit to complete my 2 years program. I just want to know if the option “yes” that I chose was the right thing ?
Please I want to ask an urgent question, in a situation where by my sponsor is from my mothers side and there’s no clear proof of family ties except her birth certificate which they both share same surname. And no photo of them when they were little… what alternative should I use.
Please am in dare need of ur help now, I have my documents ready and am finding it difficult to submit my documents. My admission is on 4th of July. I need to submit my application as fast as possible. My visa was rejected before due to not having my letter of acceptance, but I hv the LOA now. Please I don't want to make mistake on this. I Need ur guide
Hi, it isnt stated anywhere in the immigration website the exact amount to have when applying for a visitor visa. However, a major determinant would be dependent on how long she will be staying in Canada, her accomodation (who is paying?) Also feeding.. Is she the sponsor or are u going to be her sponsor? All these should be stated in your invitation letter. If it's a 2 week trip for example, I'd recommend from anywhere from $5,000Cad. The longer her stay, a reasonable amount that would make peefect sense has to be shown as proof of funds
Your results Based on the information you provided, the result(s) below indicate(s) whether you may be eligible to come to Canada. Students (visitor's visa required) You may be eligible to come to Canada as a student. What’s does this means cos it didn’t say (study permit)
Please u have a challenge with the working activities, they asked me about my age 18 year working experience and I chose unemployed but the system doesn't allow me to proceed
Please, I have a school that's not among DLI , I love the school and the course they did. Please dear, I don't want to miss the school and I have made my deposit already, hope they will grant me student permit? Because here they asked " Hsve u been accepted into a designated learning institution" u said yes because ur teaching centers on those that got admission in DLI. Now in my own case what would I answer (YES OR NO)
Hi Victor, If your school is not a DLI, your answer would be NO. However, it doesn't stop them from issuing you a study permit. U will only miss out on getting a PGWP (Post-Graduate Work Permit) after studies because you wouldn't qualify since u didn't attend a DLI. So, if u have the intention of working in Canada after graduation, you will have to change your school and attend a school that is a Designated Learning Institution.
Thank you so much Adaora. Your video was very helpful. But my challenge is that i can't navigate the work experience slide. I started work in 2014 to date. So I have 9 years working experience. @@AdaoraUzoma what I actually meant was that as my program does not offer internship, will I get a work permit alongside my study visa so that I can work while studying. Thanks
Hi Ismaheel, It all depends! They look at several factors such as the finances, marital status, etc.. of that sibling. If your sister is going to be your sponsor, 1st of all, how old are you? Are u over 30 years +? Cos I've heard at that age, they expect u to be able to sponsor yourself. I've seen cases of where older siblings act as sponsors but that's when the person traveling is much younger. Maybe 27 years or below. In most cases, they usually prefer parents to act as sponsors. They feel is it's safer than a sibling. Your parents won't abandon u no matter what and they can go extra miles incase of any emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. Like I said, it all depends. Siblings can work well for one applicant and may not work for the other. For instance, my husband applied for US study visa many years ago but got denied twice because his elder brother who was married with kids was acting as his sponsor but when he applied for Canadian study visa, still using the same brother as his sponsor, the Canadian Embassy didn't think twice and gave him visa. This was like 10 years ago. So it's up to the visa officer if they are convinced enough. Different strokes for different folks. To answer your 2nd question: Your chance of getting visa is at the discretion of the visa officer who goes through your application. Nobody guarantees you visa approval. As far as you've submitted all required documents, nothing looks falsified, you should be good. Also, your explanation letter should detail a strong reason for your travel. If the visa officer is convinced that you are fit and eligible, that's when they can approve your visa.
As a foreign national, you will be eligible to obtain a study visa for engaging in post graduate studies that is more than 6 months at a designated learning institution in Canada
@@AdaoraUzoma hey sis thanks for your reply but I have another question says that " Is there any problem when you want to come to Canada for a diploma studies when you are 30years and already completed Bachelor's degree"?
Thank you very much...u are a nice person...most people will preferred to be paid before dishing this out...God bless you I have 3 questions Number 1.... what if i have small money like say 200 thousand naira in my own personal account....but my sponsor who is my husband has 19 million naira in his own account plus landed properties...can i use only my husband's statement of account? Number 2......can someone in Canada help me to pay my 150CAD visa application fee since we can't pay more than 100CAD with our Nigeria bank account.....if someone can help, how will i give him link to pay? Number 3..... This Proof of Canadian bank account and Guarantee investment certificate (GIC) Canadian financial institution, is it for we Nigerians bc i am confuse in that one..
Hello Ujunwa, Excellent questions! 1. Going by your examples, you'd have to use your spouse who has sufficient proof of funds to act as your sponsor because 200k when converted to Canadian currency using the current exchange rate is not up to $500.00 2. If you know someone in canada that will be willing to do so, that's fine depending on your relationship with them. Keep in mind that they will be having complete access to your application because they would have to log into your account to do so. So the question is... are you ok exposing your private information to a third party? Just making sure that you aware of the risk therein. Moreso, If you have an authorized representative applying on your behalf, then you can pay them and they can make the payment for you using their own method of payment. 3. The GIC (Guarantee Investment Certificate) program for international students enables financial support for their length of study. It's a fixed-term investment, meaning that it gives a determined rate of interest for the length of the GIC. It is one of the lowest risk investments in Canada, like putting savings in a bank account. How it works is that if you deposit like a lumpsum of $10,000 into your GIC, the Canadian bank will release a portion of the funds once they confirm your identity and then the remaining funds are distributed in installments over the next 10-12 months. You can apply online from your home country and then remit $10,000 to your GIC plus $200 to cover administrative fees, for a total of $10,200. Keep in mind, administrative fee may vary depending on the bank you are using. Money sent to your GIC must come from your own bank account. If you choose not to apply from Nigeria, that's ok.. you can walk into any of the banks here to apply when you arrive Canada. I usually advice people to open a GIC once their study permit has been approved to save them the stress of doing back and forth. But that's not a big issue anyway, if your study Visa is declined, you have to show the bank proof of the 1. Visa rejection or 2. Application for admission to a Canadian Educational Institution has been declined, or 3. You have withdrawn enrollment at your institution before or after your arrival in Canada. I hope I explained it all to your understanding
@@AdaoraUzoma thanks so much....u are a darlyn....i appreciate I paid one agent in Canada to pay for my Conestoga college application fee and i also want him to pay for the visa application fee.....but i don't know what to do again since u said he will have access to my confidential details, I don't know what to do again bc that's the only option i have now bc opening dormicillary account here to enable the payment is very expensive

Thank you for the job you are doing God bless you 🙏😇
Hi, it isnt stated anywhere in the immigration website the exact amount to have when applying for a visitor visa.

Now in my own case what would I answer (YES OR NO)
Hi Victor,
If your school is not a DLI, your answer would be NO.
But I obtained my Degree Certificate from Ghana University between 2018- 2019. And returned back to same work to date. I just have just 4 years post Degree experience.

Hi!!! Your video is amazingly helpful. May I request? Is it possible a video in getting a LOA on any school? Thank you so much.
Ok, will consider that
Thanks for this information madam. Please can use my sister as sponsor. What is the chance of get the Visa ma.
Hi Ismaheel,
It all depends!
To answer your 2nd question:
Your chance of getting visa is at the discretion of the visa officer who goes through your application. Nobody guarantees you visa approval.
As far as you've submitted all required documents, nothing looks falsified, you should be good. Also, your explanation letter should detail a strong reason for your travel. If the visa officer is convinced that you are fit and eligible, that's when they can approve your visa.
Thanks so much ma.
Can my partner come over with me for a duration program of 1year.
Yes

I have 3 questions
Number 1.... what if i have small money like say 200 thousand naira in my own personal account....but my sponsor who is my husband has 19 million naira in his own account plus landed properties...can i use only my husband's statement of account?
Number 2......can someone in Canada help me to pay my 150CAD visa application fee since we can't pay more than 100CAD with our Nigeria bank account.....if someone can help, how will i give him link to pay?
Number 3..... This Proof of Canadian bank account and Guarantee investment certificate (GIC) Canadian financial institution, is it for we Nigerians bc i am confuse in that one..
Hello Ujunwa,
Excellent questions!
1. Going by your examples, you'd have to use your spouse who has sufficient proof of funds to act as your sponsor because 200k when converted to Canadian currency using the current exchange rate is not up to $500.00
But that's not a big issue anyway, if your study Visa is declined, you have to show the bank proof of the
1. Visa rejection or
2. Application for admission to a Canadian Educational Institution has been declined, or
3. You have withdrawn enrollment at your institution before or after your arrival in Canada.
I hope I explained it all to your understanding
@@AdaoraUzoma thanks so much....u are a darlyn....i appreciate
I paid one agent in Canada to pay for my Conestoga college application fee and i also want him to pay for the visa application fee.....but i don't know what to do again since u said he will have access to my confidential details, I don't know what to do again bc that's the only option i have now bc opening dormicillary account here to enable the payment is very expensive
If you're already using an agent, that means you already trust them to act as your representative. Is there any reason why you wouldn't trust them to apply for your study permit and handle everything else?
