Philippines 2006 -- Ferry Ride to Bantayan Island

Suyen and I went on vacation in Cebu from 16 to 30 April 2006. Here are some of the sights and sounds from our trip.
On our third day, we drove up the east side of Cebu Province to Hagnaya, to catch the ferry to Bantayan Island.

Dito makikita kung gaano kayaman ang Pilipinas sa mga likas na yaman gaya ng yamang-tubig. Hindi lang para sa pagkain kundi para sa turismo at transportasyon. Dahil sa mahigit 7,000 pulo na nakakalat sa buong bansa, napakaraming sasakyang dagat ang naglalayag sa mga dagat para maihatid ang mga pasahero na galing sa ibang bansa, sa lungsod at patungo sa mga probinsya. Sa kabila ng takot sa paglalayag sa dagat dahil sa malalakas na alon dulot ng masamang panahon, ang paglalayag sa dagat ang pinipili

I watch the movie Moana. It tells how people from the Pacific live and how they got there in Hawaii. I realize this is our life and the life of our Ancestors. They were Seafarers. Cheers to the hardworking kababayans.

bantayan island is in the northern tip of cebu.cebu can be found in the philippines. bantayan coordinates is 11deg 08'37.68 N. 123deg 4'34.11E.

I think you would have needed to be there to see what was really going on with the landing. Something shifted or the other ferry wasn't suppose to be there.
