A multi-day severe weather outbreak is expected this week! Tuesday appears to be the most significant, and most widespread day for severe weather, from the Great Lakes, Midwest into the Plains. Significant damaging winds, large to very large hail, and tornadoes will be possible any day this week. Make sure to have multiple ways to receive severe weather watches and warnings!
Good morning, Hunter. Thanks for all that you do for the community. A partly sunny moderate day here in central Maryland. Hope all is well with you and yours. Cheers!
Storm Prediction Center just upgraded Eastern Iowa to a Level 4 out of 5 (Moderate Risk) for tomorrow. Intense damaging winds (80+ mph), large hail (up to 2” diameter), and a few strong tornadoes (EF-2+ strength) will be likely tomorrow afternoon and evening.
Tomorrow is certainly a day to be weather-aware as severe weather potential appears to be most significant Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening for Madison, Wisconsin. Damaging winds over 70 mph, large hail (possibly over 2” diameter), and a few strong tornadoes will be possible. I’ll have a new video update in the morning.
An intense line of thunderstorms will likely move through during the mid-evening hours. Expect 60 to potentially 70 mph wind gusts, large hail, and possibly a tornado risk for McHenry, Illinois tomorrow.
A complex of showers and storms develops late tonight into early tomorrow morning. Damaging winds, large hail, and very heavy rainfall would be the primary hazards from the storms. An isolated tornado will also be possible, but the tornado potential remains low overall.
BREAKING!! The SPC just expanded moderate risk zone significantly! This introduces, now, a 15% hatched tornado risk that covers most of Iowa and nearby areas.
SE Wisconsin severe weather enthusiast here and I am ready for a good show. We've had a lot of near misses today so I am hoping tomorrow will have a direct hit or three.
Pretty much every single day for the rest of May will have some type of severe weather potential somewhere across parts of the United States. Those days are uncertain right now as it’s still over a week away. But I’ll keep you updated.
Bloomington, IL is currently under a Level 2 out of 5 (Slight Risk) for severe weather on Tuesday. Damaging winds and large hail would be the primary hazards from the storms. But a tornado or two would also be possible.
Hi Hunter! Thank you for your great content! Can you give me an idea of the timing for the most significant severe weather/tornado risk for central Iowa tomorrow? As Murphy's Law would have it, we have a Girl Scout picnic scheduled and I'd rather postpone it than have the girls out and about in bad weather. Thank you!!
Storms will develop across Central Iowa on and off throughout the entire morning. The most significant storms will develop between 12pm and 4pm tomorrow afternoon. Those storms would be capable of producing widespread damaging winds over 70 mph, large hail of 2”+ diameter, and a few strong tornadoes (EF-2+ strength). I’ll have a new video update in the morning.

Hi Hunter am I gonna get strong tornadoes on for Kearney Missouri tomorrow if so do I have to be prepared for strong tornadoes in Kearney Missouri also am I gonna get added to a 15% significant tornado risk for Kearney Missouri tomorrow afternoon?
Tornadoes will be possible. But the strong tornado risk is mainly across Southwest Wisconsin, East-Central Iowa, Northeast Missouri, and Northwest Illinois.
@@WeatherOnTheGoForecasts thanks for the information on the severe weather do I have to be prepared for tomorrow for tornadoes tomorrow afternoon Hunter? And is it possible that I’ll get a 15% significant tornado risk tomorrow for Kearney Missouri?
Isolated supercell thunderstorms will be capable of damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes (possibly a strong tornado), mainly west of I-39 mid/late afternoon on Tuesday. The main squall line of thunderstorms will move from west to east across all of North-Central Illinois Tuesday evening. Widespread damaging winds over 70 mph will be likely, along with a secondary risk for large hail and embedded tornadoes. Just make sure to remain weather-aware throughout the day on Tuesday.
Mainly a wind/hail risk. Tornado risk begins to decrease as a fast-moving squall line moves through the area late tomorrow evening. But a tornado or two along the leading edge of the line of storms is still possible.
@@WeatherOnTheGoForecasts i hope and pray so cause Oklahoma City was only in a marginal and they got a big tornado. I don't trust the national weather service or the AI machine learning severe probabilities very much. It has been off the past few times
