I'm really grateful for Sheikh Assim to be able to come to Indonesia to share his knowledge. I'm glad we could communicate using english. Though I think it's quite ironic that for us, the Muslim ummah, to have to use english to speak to each other instead of using arabic, the language of our holy books and prophet. I hope in the future we can do more interaction throughout our Islamic sphere using arabic as lingua franca.
It seems there might be a mix-up. Imam Ahmad, not Imam Shafi, emphasized that the basis of Islam rests on three hadiths: 1. The hadith of 'Umar: "Actions are judged by intentions." 2. The hadith of A'ishah: "Anyone who introduces something new into our religion will have it rejected." 3. The hadith of Nu'man ibn Bashir: "The permissible is clear, and the forbidden is clear."

When I say protesting is not from our sunnah, and we don’t have to respond this way instead let’s learn our religion and act up on it. They be like they’re burning Quran and you talk about learning the sunnah 😂😂😂🤦🏽♂️ Wallah our ignorance is what makes us look awkward in-front of the kuffars.
Chess become haram for you when it distracts you from religious obligations for example when you play shogi qnd prayer time comes you tend to delay your prayer then this becomes haram because it is distracting us from our religious obligations according to most scholars and just my advice don’t play a lot as it wastes your time although it is not haram if it doesn’t distract you from your religious obligations and it better to do something productive like watching islamic lectures and trying to spend most of ur time getting closer to allah and we should strive for the highest level of jannah possible for which we will remain in their forever (khalideena feeha) and we only have 60 to 80 years most likely in this life and then Allah rewards us for eternity
Many research claim that puzzle/strategy game is useful for the brains, especially for older people so they might not be forgetful. But as the the reply above stated, if it distracts you from your obligations to Allah, it became haram, just like everything else.
Intention in burning of holy quran has tob gathered otherwise what a good muslim does when finds torn sacred pieces of quran, what is the best way to with these torn pieces ? Respected shiekh knows it very well. Has any muslim delivered the message of holy quran to those people who burn holy Quran.
