A BASE parachute is superior to a skydive reserve, and it opens very fast so we don't need a reserve. There are systems with a reserve but the chance of actually using it, or being at a height where you had time to use it are very low. Also to hike a couple hours carrying double as much weight is no fun haha.
do you have a secondary parachute, if the first one doesnt open, or is it to late at that point anyways?
