  • Many Christians in the Body of Christ struggle with “receiving” from God and from others. When someone tries to give you something, do you deflect or minimize their gift in any way? When someone tries to be nice or generous, is your default response one of gratitude or suspicion? When someone gives you something, do you feel self-imposed pressure to reciprocate? In this lesson, Mike Moore gives Biblical references of the importance of not only being a good giver, but a good receiver as well.

Your honesty about having a hard time receiving is commendable. Let's start a practice of receiving by adjusting our thinking. If God's Word says give and it will be given unto you...", we aren't responsible for who he uses. He can use the same 9 out of 10 people that you're saying want something in return. Changing the heart of man is His responsibility. Our only responsibility is to receive. Also consider, to not receive from someone, is prohibiting that person from sowing good seeds, and reaping a harvest. Be blessed!
