@@happy_cookie3598ngl if anyone in that video is ascendant I will be very shocked. Also these are his good clips, but his aim is a bit rough many kills are delayed by 0.5 seconds which is plenty of time to get killed by someone having a good game.

Fr, every comp, I see reyna keeping their blinds for no reason and jets who always enter the site after everyone is in. As a Cypher main myself, I am the one who always has to enter site with my cages and cam just to get info on enemy locations.

This is why i play duelist alot i csnt trust the random instalocking reyna to entry so i play Jett so i can fo it myself
Cypher's cages are more versitile than jett smokes for me because of maybe the sound cue when someone enters it and u can play it off with possibly any play u want. I think in this clip no one really expected an aggressive Cypher because of the map i guess most cyphers covers their teams backs on Bind but since he's aggressive it catches enemies offguard.

First time i see someone bellow diamond get lamps control and not keep taking space! That alone shows he can get to a higher rank and something other than aim and gamesense is holding him back. And the confidence to just run up with a shorty and then overwhelm site with a sheriff!

There is a massive difference between gold and diamond lobbies, also he is likely hardstuck due to inconsistency, a bad mental or a mix. Once he hits plat then his mental might be really good and could definitely shoot up to the rank he deserves but it’s rare someone actually deserves a rank that much higher.

@@kennyakiralothchim exactly, context is what matters here, the cypher played pretty good in the clips shown despite not actually playing as his role, so it's not too exaggerated that he think he might deserve ascendent, though many low elo players in these type of videos were shown to be either delusional or just overestimating their skill at the game and truly think they deserve to be in high elo, thus why those type of comments exist in the first place.

I used to be an omen main and yet would do the duelists jobs better than them quite often and then i realised that i wasn't really using my smokes and so decide to switch to reyna and then quickly moved on to neon who i main now and am definitely doing better than i was.

Only because he has one good round (there are propably more, but there were only clips of the same match) you cant say that he deserves a higher rank or not. His issue is propably, that he is inconsistent. Most time its the problem for not upranking.
He deserves ascendant 100%, you can tell that cipher shouldn’t be his main though.

Theres absolutely no world where a gold deserves “ascendant”. I can imagine being diamond 3 and thinking you deserve ascendant but gold and asc is too large of a gap so there’s something holding him back
Nobody should be discouraged of playing the agent they like playing, unless they are trying to go pro and need to be versatile for the meta. If they want to rank up to the rank they think they deserve, let them learn the agent and master stuff that they find cool. In higher ranks duelists would be at least doing their things and he will get his frags late in the round. I think it is better than asking them to change the agent just because their playstyle does not fit the role.
@@FaryhSan Really doesn't hurt to try, with the way he's playing he would would have way more fun using someone like phoenix. If he really wants to stick with cypher, then there's a LOT to learn and change
@@snowpools8498 agree, if they find it fun to be an entry fragger and find it exciting to get into those duels, they should try it out. And agree with your last point. But without any assumptions I would ask if they tried different agents and do they want to play cypher. I have just seen many cases when agents were suggested based on playstyle and not the opposite, which sucks because they may not get frags and instead of learning agent, feel like they don't fit them.

Personal I always use the sentinal on my team to make an entry for me if a team is covering all angles on site since I play renya I have a open entry and a flash for free frags
Jett would be a very good agent for him, the smokes are like cages but they don’t last as long.
I get that he doesn’t play like a standard cypher but it can extremely hard to change main agents and he does use cypher trips and smokes on aggressive angles as we saw in the clip

even as a duelist, hes overly aggressive on angles that dont need to be held, like ct on a site bind. it doesnt need to be peeked, they just need to hold the cross to the bomb

I actually feel good playing cypher as sort of a duelist. His smokes are so good in a way thay you can deploy easily and guarantee no one is camping the smoke. It's like jett smoke but with a different characteristic useful for short to midrange. I only peaked dia 3 so i could be wrong

Yeah he needs some sort of util to play like cypher on duelist like jett. What happens with me is that lower elo team doesn't entry with duelists but will blame you for dying too fast on entry. So I started moving to skye instead of reyna and basically play duelist on skye. The way he plays his smoke lets him basically entry and take control of map.

As a player in asc lobbies, i always saw people using cpyher to lurk in attacker
He should pick Jett, or at most, Raze. He's good with having his own smokes and rushing in to get kills. A dash would even get him to safety after those kills. Raze could be an option to double satchel and run it down but would need more training. Other agents like Yoru or Phoenix are not for him apparently.
I think it's because of the fast and easy smokes with the trip to trap and stop the rush that makes him better
As long as he stays trues to the basics and picks a new agent, there should be 0 problem ranking up
Tbh, cypher is a really good entry agent on bind, all he has to do is set his trips and we definitely need to see some defence as a cypher main.

As an ascendant these are my thoughts. Im a shotgun only asc and his movement is definetly really good. But he also plays hella selfishly. The reason why most people in gold deserve gold is cuz there focus is to get the most kills possible. The goal is to win game, which means helping your teamates. people say him locking duelist will help but I disagree it will make him more selfish, best thing to do is learn to play for the team.

The reason is because maybe the duelists on his team never entries and rush so thats why he became a duelist
