Vishal mega mart carry bag have no logo or promotion in their bag. So they can charge extra if you need bag.... But in those malls whose carry bag have their mall logo or promotion, they cannot charge extra under Section 2(1)r.

As per guidelines they can charge for carry bag as long as company's branding is not there on the bag. They can't charge for bag the company's branding is on it. They may lower the price but they still can charge for it. It's not illegal.

Asfar I remember a shop can't charge for a bag if it has brand logo or any other marking or advertising on the bag. If it does then it has to give as free. But plain cloth bags can be chargeable as per govt rules asit costs money for yhe brand to manufacture the bags..!

I know carry bag rate is high but we should pay for that because it is not for only the money of the carry bag it is the use of the carry bag that we are use in use and throw manner so if we pay high then we understand and we never buy unnecessary bags or polythene who is reduced the pollution level with some extent, for that I support that we should pay for whatever we buy or use?
