HLL had a lot of potential with Black Matter. They sold out almost 3 years ago and Team 17, the new devs, have proven their #1 priority for the game is $10 DLC haircuts and historically inaccurate uniforms. I was a Kickstarter for Black Matter in 2018, tried to give Team 17 a benefit of doubt but realized this last year that HLL will be lucky to get more than maybe 1-2 maps and a feature add every 3 years. Oh, but there will be 6+ DLCs in that time. If you like HLL & Team 17, that’s great, but don’t except much more from Team 17. If you like a tactical ww2 milsim with a ton of potential & a growing community then Squad 44 is it. I’m pumped because Squad 44 might become what us early kickstarters of HLL always wanted in a ww2 shooter.
HLL is aimed toward drop in drop out, non committal multiplayer. It's less realistic, more arcadey, both serve a purpose to me, but IMO Squad 44 is better
Join us for some Post Scriptum Realism Mod. You'd probably love the mod dude. We have events every week, as well as years long campaigns. Lets talk. Great video, love to see support for Squad 44, it always needs it!
The intro was dope, like a gaming advertisement sizzle reel. Also watching you get clapped after "Two World Wars" locked open at the halfway point of your G19's mag made me chuckle. This game does look dope but I owe my soul to POE2 right now.
Great intro and then good gameplay. I too have been playing this for years and agree it's the best ww2 fps squad game. Looking forward to the January release of Pacific theatre
Love your squad44/post scriptum content. Wish I could run into you in game. Heads up, enemy rallies can be taken out by holding F now. The bar may disappear, it's a bug, but it will take it down if you keep holding.
@@ControlledPairsGaming I have tried both HLL and Squad 44 multiple times and i cant enjoy them at all. They are simply too slow. There is just lot of walking and shooting at small pixels at distance. Maps are too big and lack attention to detail. Both games also have serious performance issues. These videos on youtube with montages from HLL and Squad look great, but that is like 10% of the game. Its nothing like that, when you actually play it. In RO2 you have these thrilling, exciting moments 10 secs after spawn.
The reason it’s not as popular as HLL is because it lacks any sort of leveling system, progression, customization of any sort etc. the game is not as replayable. You get bored when there’s no progression. Less of a reason to continue playing
no, the lack of leveling system isn't it, it's just casual players that want a so called "realistic war game" go to hell let lose, I play both but I do agree that hell let loose is very arcady compare to squad44.
HLL is a great, casual, arcade-style, frag fest that most gamers will probably enjoy more. PS is significantly less forgiving, requires teamwork, and simply brutal. I love it, many won't. It's hard.
At time i write this comment no one except paris and maybe a few people on the entire world can not tell 100% content of this video with 100% certainty
CANNOT WAIT for the pacific update, it's about to bring back red orchestra banzai charges bringing memories back
Classic!
Will never understand how people think HLL is better and smoother than this. Easier to learn and faster paced, sure. But better, never.
It's a fun casual frag fest. I like it when I'm solo or just chillin. But yeah Squad 44 is GOATed on the Milsim/teamwork front.
Amen to that!

HLL is my go-to queueing for 20 minutes to get onto a server simulator.

Is it actually free? Just looked and it said 20$
Scratch that i figured it out lol. Love the videos as always
Free weekend

Your initial videos on Post Scriptum were one of the reasons I picked this game up. I never stopped playing, almost 2k hours in 😂
That was such a nice intro to hype up the ones that are getting to know the game now
fucking love your vids man makes me want to get the time and money for a pc
Legend 👊

Pulling that knife was cold as fuck.
Great seeing you play PS again, I meant Squad 44.
So F’ing glad this game is getting the recognition it deserves.. see y’all in the battlefield 🫡
That shit was wild bro!

Loved the intro!
gonna try it on free weekend for sure, looks more fun than HLL since its squad but ww2 looking forward to it.
great intro! it’s great to see you kicking ass in an old school title. also, really dig the music. what’s the track?
That first trench clear was smooth
Imagine this game with the squad ICO💀
No
As much as I love ICO this game doesn't really need it as weapon lethality here in ww2 setting is far less compared to modern weapons

Damn pairs, double upload day!
They just need more people playing
We miss you dude, jump in more often🍻😀 game is Great, been playing and recording rounds for few years now
Same, i think this is my gavorite WWII game
Anybody knows why I only see like 4 servers every time? I Can't find any servers on this game...
The BEST RTS ever!
WW2 online still the best. Nothing compares to it
It's incredible, but it requires you to devote your life to it lol.
@@ControlledPairsGamingyes it does, but man was it fun when I played it

or you can play actual best WW2 FPS ever: Red Orchestra 2 for 17.99 right now
Red Orchestra still holds up, tbh. I hit it once or twice a year. Was definitely the precursor to stuff like this.

I played for 15 minutes and deleted it. This game is ass.
Nothing touches the atmosphere, intensity and teamwork that you get in HLL. Best WWII game ever made for me. Nice vid as usual though.
