    Parameter change assignments got a bit easier too. Now it default loads the current value and shows you a current value readout/button on screen. Minor change but really useful.

    Hi, Steve. Your channel is very good, but the sound of that preset, in my opinion, is not good at all, and obviously, is not your fault. Very disappointed with Fender. Luckily enough I decided to go with Fractal Fm9 a year ago. Anyway. Many thanks for your videos!!!!

      Thanks for checking it out! A lot of times these run throughs are just seeing what is added. I do agree on many counts that TMP is behind fractal. I've used my FM9 a lot since I got it (first day announcement purchase). For my specific touring set up, the hx stomp XL does what I need and I am fastest workflow wise. They're my 2 favorites though!

      @@SteveSterlacci thanks to you for answering. Once you get the grasp of the Fm9, it’s amazing, and the workflow, even though is not easy at first, is very well implemented. For example, you have a global selection of the foot switches, so in any preset I have already mapped the first drive, the first phaser and so on. If a want to change it, I just override that switch. And channels!!! For me is the best by far. Anyway, many thanks y keep the good work wit your videos, they’re very well done!!!!

    Hey Steve, I like the fuzz sound but can't handle the noise even at the lower setting. I'm having the same issues with my helix in a small room ?

    • @SteveSterlacci
      @SteveSterlacci  7 месяцев назад

      Well, in reality I would slap a noisegate on this before I ever actually used it. I wanted to just showcase how weird fuzz pedals behave with the volume knob LOL

    Dude this is a cool video! I've been using an analog pedal in front of my guitar signal. I wonder if I really should be putting it into the effects loop one instead? It is a boost and gate pedal what do you think

    • @SteveSterlacci
      @SteveSterlacci  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for checking it out! I would prefer it in a loop for when you need to do multiple bypasses you wont need to tapdance

  • @scottakam

    Effects loop is pretty cool. I put my fuzz pedal in front of my HX Stomp so it works like a fuzz and the other hardware pedals go in the effects loop. Works fine but you can't switch fuzz on/off in a patch.

    • @SteveSterlacci
      @SteveSterlacci  7 месяцев назад +2

      yep! Thats the main advantage of having the loop for sure

    The DIM thing is nice even if it’s a little thing. When I had the TMP I wished it had a lot of Helix things. I’m still waiting for a major update to see if I buy another one.

    Is the new "Dim" feature "Global" or do you have to go back to over a hundred something presets and change them individually?

    That fuzz with reverb was putting out some serious David Gilmour tones. I was waiting for you to play the Money solo.

      I intentionally didnt noise gate it so you could see how oddly fuzz pedals act with the volume knob. Its an indication of the fuzz, not the guitar or unit.

    5:38 - is it me, or is that transition from On to Off not that smooth?

      I do have parameter changes in the multi assign, so maybe? Idk. I didnt really notice anything unexpected

      @@SteveSterlacci with the Stomp I just change the fx mix from 100 to 0% between snapshots for seamless transitions.

    Thanks for the video Steve, really dissapointed in the release notes, while we talking about a basic fixes update ..
    going to let off some steam if that’s ok in hope fender actually read this.
    - no improvement to the versatility of routing , TMP has limited routing options and when you’ve built a preset making adjustments to try new things is headache inducing.
    - no ability to use fx loops on mic/ line . Still can’t use outboard pedals in the mic / line signal path “ WHY FENDER”
    - no volume , pan control on effected lopps 3/4 stereo all levels have to be controlled on your outboard pedal making presets a nightmare to manage
    - no volume or pan at the end of path 1 or 2 “ want to bang my head on the door”
    I’m really glad fender have invested so much in improving the TMP if you want to sound like Eddie VH just brilliant !!! What if you want to use the TMP as a flexible tool for bass or keyboard or singer song writer or acoustic or multiple instrument INPUTS !
    …. Basic flexible ways fender maybe with a synth or fx loops on multiple signal path?
    I sold my QC because I was fed up with the time taken by neural to do what they promised 3 years ago ..
    Looks like here we go again . Not happy this morning . .
    Seriously thinking . I cannot be ARSED fender to wait around while. Fender tinker with stuff and don’t make obvious flexibility options available .
    - the options for EQ , panning, widening , enhancing at the output stage are awful ! studio Eq and 7 band EQ are not up to the job .
    - there is other glitchy stuff like channel split mixers and moving fx loop blocks and DSP dropouts IF YOU HAVE THE WRONG COMBINATION OF EFEECTS OR AMPS ( most powerful floorboard. That’s great but if it’s not organised correctly ! ) … I could write a massive list but this is already too long.
    Saw the header for your video , no email from fender saying here’s a new update we are proud of… let’s get excited
    Great they have improved some amp models 5 % and put in multi switching .. talk about running before you can walk properly .
    Feel like posting it for sale and getting the axe fx , I put off because I believed the TMP was going to be an PRO PRODUCT and properly thought out for modern musicians building hybrid rigs.. . DOH !
    In the mean time after X years the QC is starting to finally look like the product I thought I bought 3 years ago and sold to invest in fender …
    FENDER FIX THE VERSATILTY ISSUES .. please as a priority!
    Not sticking with this product while we do neural DSP all over again . NOT BEST HAPPY.
    P.s thanks for the channel content 🎶👍

      Fm9 turbo user for one year. It’s amazing. You can do whatever you want. And the sound and feel, miles ahead of this. Sorry, but that preset he is using sounds like crap.

    It's amazing that an amp that's in your stable of amps, the EVH, had to to be "fixed" on an update and couldn't have been released ready to go on the initial release of the unit. Who was doing the QC? How about several amp and effect chains on this large touch screen to see all your gear instead of having to swipe back and forth to see what's on the left and right out of view?
