I love Laughlin. Have been going for many years. As a Caesar’s person, I have stayed at Harrah’s for many years. I’ve been in many different kinds of rooms from not so good to suites ( which are nice). One of the cons for me now is they no longer have a spa. Because the slots were so tight last time I was there, I’m going to stay at Riverside next time. They have a spa. I also miss the buffet and diamond lounge.
@@carolschaupner4686 Agreed, bring back the buffet (area is still there and they have tables and chairs set up) AND Diamond lounge! Was so nice to be outside overlooking the Colorado River! We went to check the newly remodeled North Tower that was always a nightmare! Thanks for watching and sharing!
I tell people everytime we go, if you dont compare it to vegas you will have a great time. I always stay at harrahs. People complain its all old people. But thats cuz all the young people are outside at the river.
@@shane4663 Same! We always tell people that other than Casinos (which are all across Nevada) there is no comparison with Vegas. It is a totally different experience and that if they are thinking Vegas, but smaller - don’t go! 😂 We like it because of the river and the slower, more chill pace.
My dad won over $14,000 earlier this year at a table game at the Edgewater, but my parents stayed at Tropicana because they got comp rooms there. Sadly my dad passed away here in Idaho back in early May.
Harrah's Laughlin is where you go if you want be on a cool looking beach that is so hot that you want to die. If you're into that you can't be miserable and watch people on jet skis getting pulled over and arrested all day. The food and drink situation sucks and it's over priced. If you want to have the real Laughlin experience, you stay at Don Laughlin's. It's old it's smokey. It's cheap. It's huge and they're friendly. If you want cheap, the Pioneer is good. My favorite place in Laughlin is the Riverside Resort. It's low key. Cheap food and drinks. Great Bar. The nicest and cleanest place is Aquarius. The Tropicana is great if you have an RV. Edgewater is pretty beat up. Colorado Belle was the coolest spot before they closed. I hope they remodel and reopen in the future. Las Vegas is a joke. It hasn't been great since the Hangover movies were made. Vegas jumped the shark the day they made you pay to park and charged resort fees. You may as well throw away your money. It used to be incredible. Reno is my favorite place to gamble now and it keeps improving.
@@sadclown14 I enjoy the Grand Sierra the most. I win there. It's the perfect size and they're super friendly. You can smoke or not and they keep the cocktails coming. It really bugs me when I have to go to the bar to get a drink. I always tip my cocktail waitress $2 for every drink and I'll tip the dealers 15% at the tables if I'm winning. About a year ago I enjoyed the Casino over next to the convention center as well. I think it's called Atlantis or Aquarius? Something like that. It had good restaurants and a good poker room. I like playing cards with old timers and people closer to my own age. Pepper Mill and El Dorado and Silver Legacy are cool too. I've played at Dotty's. It's super cheap. I didn't really like the Nugget or the Sands which is gone now. Circus Circus used to be a fun place but Idk if it's there anymore. It was really old school.
@@NinthIslandConnection we were there for 3 nights in July, our room was spectacular with a lake view, the 2 restaurants above are both outstanding too. I just played video poker at the bar and got endless free Gin and Tonics at the casino floor.
Thats awesome! Yes, we love it too, we go for the slow pace and chill atmosphere and always tell people that it is nothing like Vegas. Thanks for watching and sharing!
Trop is the hidden gem in Laughlin. Rooms are decent and slots are not as tight as rest of Laughlin but still not as good as local spots in vegas (think station properties). But unlike Vegas, Laughlin is more accommodating to patrons and for the most part friendlier as it’s not commercialized yet. River makes it a special place and feels like a bubble you can have fun in.
Going to Laughlin next month on my b-day staying almost 3 days at the Riverside resort ⛵ plan on gambling there but focusing more at Aquarius casino idk I just have a feeling about that place.Any other recommendations for slots of where it's good at would be helpful, thnks 👍
Thats awesome, we pretty much only gamble at Tropicana and Harrahs, which are generally not terrible. We've won most at Harrah's though. Please share your experience!
@@lianak7529 Thanks for watching and commenting. We have actually paid at Harrahs Laughlin several times. We get comp offers periodically, but not always. We have paid and would happily pay again. For us to be able to drive only an hour and fifteen minutes, it is totally worth it. Thanks again.
You guys were probably the youngest couple there! I play craps and when I went last year, i was playing alone most of the time on 1/2 the table. They need to revamp the whole area to attract younger folks.
@@alyssadiceflipper5201 😂 Yes, we were and I also played Craps by myself on a whole table though. 😂 Two days after we got home we checked into Caesars for one night. 😂
We/I have stayed at Harrahs multiple times over the years, most being via CE's comp air/hotel packages. Yes, it's an older crowd during the week but younger on weekends especially if there's a concert outside or it's River Week. I always like that there is a separate adult only tower. Rooms were always hit or miss but basically ok. It also a great location to get exercise- lots of stairs (including those to get up to the road!). The Riverwalk by the "main" part of town is lovely, especially at night.

The prices change every day, even when we pay we don't like to share. Prices vary depending on what's happening in town, the weather, how many empty rooms they have. So many variables.
Thanks for the video, I get free flights offer to Laughlin, but now, after watching your video, I will take a pass. I like to walk around and it seems this is not the place. Even the renovated room you stayed looks old style. I will stick with LV
