@@legodano oh awesome. I love a simple analog chorus. I debated getting that one and/or the phaser but I think I have a handful of pedals that could cover those vibes well enough.
To me, it has that sweet spot of grit that I've had a hard time finding, just something very particular about it that I was really pleased by. Box goes "RAWR!" is pretty easy to do, but there's just something grit and response-wise about this pedal that is just right. A Goldilocks pedal.
That's a fun lil ripper. Fuzz is a dangerous effect because I'll go from setting up to practice, and then before I notice I've spent 45 minutes playing half-price Black Keys riffs
I hear that high pitch noise coming from the Ross Fuzz when you aren't playing, I have the same issue with mine. Sending it back to have them check it out, seems like it's a common problem.
@@dmilotte yeah mine’s in the mail currently. Didn’t realize it until I was editing this video. Sucks but it’ll be nice to have a fully functioning one.
I just got my Ross fuzz it's okay kinda like a distortion that gets fuzzy at it's extremes I like it more than the phaser it has a decent phase sound but the univibe mode is kinda a joke it's way too subtle and the waveform isn't right I couldn't open up either pedals the screws are like permanently screwed in I got one screw to loosen and even with an electric drill only managed to strip the rest of the screws changed bits and everything I had the same problem with the oil can delay ended breaking a corner off of a limited edition pedal because they put them in too hard
@@wesmitchem825 oh crap, yeah these screws were really tough to budge at first. They must be machine tightened somehow. That’s a shame to hear that about the phaser. It’s appealing just because it sounds like a Phase 90 which I love but I already own two versions of.
@@BounceChord imo jhs is 99% marketing (youtube junk, fanboys) and 1% cheap surface mount pedals that really don't sound great. whenever I have expressed this opinion, the fan boys come out of the woodworks to attack me, which means I know I'm right. haha! just use your ears! :)
@@froonboy I enjoy the show from time to time. Very informative especially about the 90s stuff that has become a little obscure. But nothing they’ve done has really appealed to me much. It’s all pretty straight forward. I need a little weirdness in my pedals.
Picked up the Ross Chorus during the liquidation sale and have been absolutely loving it. Hearing the Fuzz in action is awesome!

That's a cool sounding fuzz pedal. It's brighter than the Big Muff.

I hear a crazy loud buzz when you play… Do you have a gate cutting that off when you stop? Doesn’t seem like it it’s part of the sound.
@@TimSamoff I realized halfway through this that there might be a ground issue with the switch. Sending it back for repair.
@@BounceChord sounds like JHS quality.
@@froonboy oof. Is this a thing? This is my first experience aside from a custom thing I got built about 15 years ago when it was just a few people.

Any new pedal is gonna be SMT and JHS stuff needs no mods.
