At 1:39 you can see that the black rubber piece that can be seen dangling outside of the battery module when the lid is on is connect to the old battery modules. It also shows at the 9:01 and 15:32 mark of your removable and reinstalltion video. When you finish assembling the new battery modules it doesnt look like that black rubber L shaped piece was hooked back up. I remember reinstalling the battery module into the car and wonder what it was at and why was it left over. Theres definetly a cutout for it in the battery case.
The reason I ask its because 4k miles after swapping to the new battery modules my 450h died on me on the interstate. There was smoke in the back coming from the battery area. It smelt to me like an engine that doesnt have any oil. All the hybird warning and failure lights came on and the car will no longer start. It flashes ready twice and goes away. My error codes are P0A7A and P0A94.
How important is that black rubber boot, it looks like it vents the battery somewhere when hooked into the car. Would this lead to overheating?
It’s a vent tube for the OEM modules. Both of your codes are pointing to inverter failure.

Sounds like the battery is failing or the ECU is experiencing water damage if water is making it into the vehicle. I would have diagnostics done on the vehicle to see which DTC is present. That battery is $3450 before shipping.
What do you do when the vehicle kills the new battery quickly ? How do you find the issue I'd codes don't come up?

not sure what you mean by kills it quickly...? These batteries are constantly being maintained by the car, either charging or discharging. If its low on power, the gas engine will charge it. If there is a fault the codes will pop up with the check hybrid system.

I have a 2010 Lexus RX450h about 200,000 miles. My gas mileage is horrible, I get 20mpg. No errors as far as hybrid battery is concerned. Is this because the hybrid battery is old and needs to be replaced or could it be some other issue?
Could def be the hybrid battery starting to age out
It is normal on RX450h even when it is new to get about 20mpg. it is a heavy SUV 20-30mpg is normal. don't touch things that are not broken. you need to check on your own when you drive on empty roads. That will tell you more accurate mpg reading. either on interstate or somewhere with constant 50-70mph speed. The hybrid battery failure is not gradual. It is out of sudden one of the cell died. Over 10-15 years period it will be 95% of the original capacity and sudenly drop. just drop with triagle and check engine lights. As long as you do not have it, just drive and enjoy the smooth ride.
Nice guide but I wouldn't call it a rebuild. More like an Upgrade or Replacement of battery pack.

One other question. Do hybrid batteries require recharging before being used? I was told that the battery pack in my 2011 Chevy Silverado (which is dead, reading millivolts only) would need to be recharged before the vehicle would start. My display is showing "Service Hybrid System" and the truck will not turn over, even though the 12 volt battery under the hood is fully charged.
When I see Silverados that wont crank with low voltage codes, replacing the battery solves the issue 9 out of 10 times. I bet the ECU is arched out, I've only found them new for like $650. I just did a Tahoe that needed the ECU and the rebuild kit. You would have to charge the Silverado modules individually with a hobby charger if you don't own a cell by cell charger designed for 240 cells.
I'm curious how you identify the negative wires from the positive. In the video I don't see any markings on them, and they are all orange. Is there a label on each?
Orange indicates High Voltage. I normally check to see which module end the wire is coming from.
Can we only just clean the battery bus bar on the original battery and extend their life time?
The bus bars are normally not corroded in this vehicle's battery for some reason they are always perfect when I open them up. I would think it has more to do with module failure or possibly water damage to the relay box from water getting into the cabin.

Those batteries aren't the same as the original based on physical design and looks. Are they of the same chemistry?

how long will they last?
We give a 4 year warranty, I have vehicles already coming out of warranty and I have not had any warranties. I expect these modules to last as long as the original modules, if not longer.
Is that battery reliable as the original panasonic ? I don’t think so

Can you help me i get this code P0B5B on my lexus rx 450h model 2010
It could be the BECM(ecu) or just the battery modules coming out of balance. Battery replacement is recommended

@Palmetto Battery Pros my car is on after changing BECM when i turn it off it no longer start again unless when I turn on I hear the relay clicking and ready light is clicking, I checked with diagnosis mashine i didn't get any fault in hybrid system i need your my friend
The trouble code P0B5B can be explained as Hybrid Battery Voltage Sense "G" Circuit Low.
