EMH, about the Hole 12 Zebra. It was the Logo for Beech-Nut Fruit Stripe gum. The gum was invented in Canajoharie (Can-a-Jo-Harry) , NY by James Parker. And one of the artist, employed at Beech-Nut, who designed "Rainbow" was my Great-Aunt Tessie. Now the kicker. For dinner this evening my youngest daughter, husband, & 3 Grandsons went to "Cracker Barrel". After dining the kids hit the retail store and there was Fruit Stripe Gum. Now made by Hershey in Pennsylvania. "They do exist!"

omg i NEVER thought you would play a course that I have played before! This course is so much fun because of how run down it is. Another great course around here is the Pirate Golf. It is kinda expensive but pretty nice!

I all I thought that when Fruit Stripe came round that the name of Zebra was totally dropped. Thanks for bringing me up to date!

Was at this course last year. You pay for a round and then can keep playing as long as you want. My 5 year old loved it and we played so many rounds here. The first hole was always a pain. Can’t believe she got a hole in one on it!!!

Fruit Stripe Gum from BEECH NUT in Canajoharie, NY. My Grandma worked there for 59 years.
She ran the machine that actually wrapped the gum.
For 2 years after she finally retired back on the mid-'80's, they would call her up whenever the machine broke down cause she could just listen to it, and tell them what the problem was.
She was good to Them but they weren't so good to her. After all those years, They only gave her a $195.00/month retirement.
But the company is gone now anyway

Wrigley's Fruit Stripe Gum....it was the only gum I liked as a kid back in the 1960's.
Nice little course...kind of unusual to have a course on the "Honor System"....but it was decent looking. And Elisha out played Brooks...she left herself way more make-able putts. But...then again...I'm always on Team Elisha.

I still buy fruit stripes gum... there are very few gums out there without sugar substitutes which I am allergic to. Sadly, Fruit Stripes flavor only lasts for like 5 minutes tops.

They still have fruit stripe gum but it’s kind of not the same as it used to be the flavor goes away quicker.
Not a bad course, and definitely worth it for $11 for both of you :)

Hole 1 was a five for brooks, you hit the ball before you scratched your leg and didn't return it to its original place. But in the end it didn't even matter :p
There were bugs crawling on my legs so I was distracted 🤣
