I appreciate hearing the advice because we are also told that ignorance is not a defense. I totally agree that its wise too not to just accept gifts from just anyone. However, my personal opinion is that not all described about pastors is necessary true and sadly some of our older relatives when they hear such stories they really judge churches harshly and call all of them demon institutions. Its not to say that if a pastor prays for your loved one and they die they have been sacrificed, because its told where 2 or more gather together God is in their midst. Lets read the word and ask God to discern the truth of salvation. I believe that God loves us and if and when we seek Him in truth, abide in His will, He shall fight for us. His word says my sheep shall know my voice and follow me. You may pray for someone and they still die, its not to say that the devil won, life belongs to our creator. Lets pray in faith and trust God shall come through for us all. Please note that this is my opinion.
