Love the review. I just picked this up yesterday for $450 in mint condition, including a hardshell case and 2 sets of strings. Absolute steal. Love it already!

Used to own this guitar but sold it after putting ahb-2 blackouts in it. Incredible guitar, super well build. The emgs are low output pickups but they sound very clean. Split coil is a dope option to have. Not a fan of TOM bridges because of the unnecessairy string noise, always needed cloth underneath it when recording but it looks cool. Considering buying it again.

Awesome review. I ended up sanding and sealing my neck with Teak oil. So much smoother than the sticky gloss.

Hey mate, i love your playing style.
Regarding the neck gloss issue: ive sanded a few necks to satin, then when i wanted to sell them, buffed them back to gloss. Isnt hard to do, ime.

Had that done on my hellraiser, that really did the trick!

I did something similar and it's a world of difference. Pretty easy, just sand and seal with teak oil.

Great looking guitar after 12 years. Sounds great too! Nice playing, Jake.

Thank you for the detailed review! I wanted to buy one but I’ve seen the two different fonts for the logo and I’m not sure which one that I’d get if I buy one brand new (I prefer the more gothic-ish metal-ish font). Now I know it’s the newer models that I’m looking for.

Dude, I love that guitar. I have one that’s my drop d guitar for Avenged Sevenfold.😎👏🏽

I mainly have all my guitars tuned to drop D because of Avenged Sevenfold 😂 drop C because of bullet for my valentine but this guitar sounds like a monster with both tunings 🔥

Great review! Thorough. I have a C7 and I’m waiting on the C1 Hellraiser hybrid to show up this week. Awesome playing. What did you use for the drums?

I saw this one the C-1 FRS and the C-1 FRS hybrid. I’m torn on which is the better buy.

I'M YOUR FAN, MY FRIEND, YOU MAKE DEMOS THAT I REALLY LOVE, and I consider myself a super demanding person with songs that at least have to make me excited about the solos, the rhythmic bases, but YOU, MY FRIEND, HAVE COMPLETELY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS WITH EVERY DEMO I'VE SEEN OF YOU HAHAHA!!! and if it's not a bother, my friend, I would like to know what tuning the demo was done in! greetings from Mexico,
P.S. (I wrote it in English so you wouldn't have to translate it and then translate the message again assuming you read my message

Hello bro, great review and demo. I have a question, i'm not much into schecter guitars and I got one like this like some months ago but it doesn't have the push pull pots and locking tuners, does that means that mine is older? You said that yours is 2012, how can I know what year is mine? Thanks in advance!

Not OP but im pretty about 2012 was when they switched to locking tuners and coil splits. Is yours neck thru like this one still? If so, and it has regular grover tuners and no coils splits, its probably 06-2011 ish. Just looking through specs of old Schecter catalogs. You may be able to google a serial number decoder for schecter
