they are super cool but your going to have to watch all my vid's to see what vehicles they fit in since they have so much extra thick gear on the legs so it makes it a bit harder for them to fit in the vehicles, but they are still super awesome figures

Thanks for showing us the bad and the good with these figures--I had no idea how poorly they would fit in to the 80's vehicles but I guess it's to be expected with the O-ring Renaissance stuff. I still want a stack of these though, and hopefully they will work out with some more spacious vehicles.

Even with some of the flaws I still like these figures and I believe that the owner is going to work to make corrections. After talking with them on streams they want to feed back so they can know what they have to do to make them better. Also one thing I did not know is Preacher is on a taller body, which I like because people aren’t all the same height in real life.

Thanks for the honest review. I can accept some minor imperfections on a version 1 product, even original Hasbro Joes weren't perfect. I think issues aside these are still good figures and fit into the Joe universe pretty seamlessly. That gloss paint does look better to me than the recent matte style figures I agree. Not really into the package design or card art, but I would probably toss them anyway as I like to open and play with the figures.
Great to see all the new o-ring options for collectors in 2024!

That's not an honest review because if he had watched the video's on Delta 17 then he would have known the action figures are a bit larger, I did a few vehicle tests to show what ones they do fit into

Not an O-Ring guy but from watching some of the other reviews I want to say those villain figures are the best of the line. If I had to choose a good guy figure it would be the trooper that looks aesthetically the best. Congrats to Ken and his partners. Nice line. I wish you great success. Let me know when you bring them to 1/12, that’s my jam. Much love.

I have Punk'd Lawrence, lol clearly he didn't watch all your video's as well as all the other video's on Delta 17 that the action figures would be larger, So I am doing even more vehicle tests to show what ones they do fit into so people can go buy those vehicles for the Delta 17 figures, and Knowing is half the battle :) and I did enjoy your vid's Ken caught them all and I am sure you will do some more live streams on Delta 17 when you get time, maybe even on It's Chad! channel, and don't worry Ken I got your back, Love these figures

I was on Chad's before, to talk other toy topics last year. He and i met at Joefest a few months back and we hung out a bit. Thanks for watching.

First, I appreciate your very detailed review. Your comment about the glossy finish was interesting to hear, it was one of the first things I noticed. Perhaps just because I just got my Skeletron Wolf Trooper (woot!). It has the same modern, I don't know - satin finish, maybe? semi-gloss? - that the retro o-ring joes have, and I really like it. I think maybe with the glossy finish, they were going for compatibility with vintage ARAH, because I think they were glossier. Just a matter of preference. I LOVE their gear, swivel wrists, and I just dig learning the story lines of the characters and letting all that unfold. I like Leonidas!!! Watching you stuff him into the Vamp was great!

very nice detailed review! sharp eye ya got there. the hole seems low on Preacher, because Preacher is taller than the average figure. the hole is the same distance from the belt, but he does have a higher shoulder height.

  • @magnuslauglo5356

I wonder if the problem with fitting them into vehicles isn't so much about the legs not pivoting all the way up, and more about the fact that they are just much bulkier in the torso. Compare Leonidas with Clutch in their respective torsos.

well you would be surprised at what they might not fit into and what they do fit into, so with 100's of vehicles to test them in then it makes it easier for people to know, so they can buy the vehicles that will fit with the Delta 17 and most of the modern vehicles they should fit, So modern Vamps yes and some other vamps I had worked, but your going to have to watch the vid's punk, lol @@Apunkwithtoys

Good review. I like the way they look but I don't see me picking any up. I'm interested to see how they compare to the Operation Recall figures whenever they come out. 2 questions though: Does that dog look like a Corgi in person? And did you already have Mindbender in the Trubble Bubble or were you trying to will the VI exclusive into existence? 😂

    • @Apunkwithtoys
      @Apunkwithtoys  8 месяцев назад +1

Yes, Mindbender has been in the Trouble Bubble for awhile, and yes I put him in there as a joke cause of that dumb ass.
No, the dog is still a puppy at this point and that’s why it is so small. He doesn’t even have a name yet but it is clearly a German Shepherd

  • @phillipbug958

That price is wretched for Lanard’s The Corps! here. (My bad 3 3/4’ joke) Just far too expensive! One must ACTUALLY COMPETE & 25$ for a 3 3/4 is a negatory from myself! Sell them for a reasonable price. At 25$ I’d rather buy some Final Faction toys for 1.25$ at dollar tree (which are honestly great sculpts)
10.99$ tops should be price & maybe a few nostalgia heads would scoop a couple (& wouldn’t be Kestrel the peg warmer, for certain! Lmfao)

Thanks for the review of this line of O-Ring figures. I haven’t begun to repurchase any of the figures in either 4 in or smaller and don’t really see it happening anytime soon, though I’m sure figures of these scales like baroness or destro etc will be high value items since star duster is like 500 in secondary market. Really good review though.
Funny story, so on the valaverse side of things I purchased an eclipse wave 3 figure (not the warpath one) I’ve had it for about 3 months and with just basic use and no drops from high buildings or accidental packaging damages I happened to take Eclipse out of a box yesterday evening and her ENTIRE lower body fell apart from the upper torso, I’m talking the legs fell into separate parts, the crotch area front and back separated right in my hands. It was the wildest 6 in line mishap I’ve seen to date aside from cover girls neck pin coming off with a basic head swap move and eclipse warpath that Bobby Bee was reviewing and the entire head and peg broke off! I had that same thing happen with a DC figure in 6 in line the whole head and pin broke off inside the head. I was like what the actual fuck do they do with these figures don’t they know people will mix and match heads and bodies ffs 🤦🏾‍♂️

    nice pick bro
I like that brand s packaging style, but I d prefer the tray system to keep it a long time and store figs.
the figs s design is cool and inspired, but who are the good - bad guys? it s not clearly visible as blue troops.
I prefer the other brand with evolution, swapping heads and hands.
when you have so few figs available, it s an advantage to army build simply and cheaply.
    the vamp
man, the vamp is waaay too small, try Slaughter and I m sure it looks off.
it s a dune buggy, smaller than a mid size car, about the size of a Beetle.
this is why I d want a Humvee, not a vamp, there was a great one in 2005.
olive green of course, and an Abram, customed.
    the stinger
now that s more like it, makes more sense to me, a prototype...
a Cobra weapon, experimental, + troopers are all the same size - standard.
I would not spit on a black H3 like 'rise of Cobra' in the pursuit,
but, skip the gizmos please! just give us a plain H3 that one can sit figs inside.
without the vehicles, I m not sure about the future of these lines.
1 - 3' was designed for vehicle toys and playsets
2 - the standard is to release 4 - 5 vehicles and bad guys s ones too.
all successful lines started by offering a small world with many elements
Mask - boulder mountain He man - castle greyskull Joes - HQ
it builds confidence to buy, as there is much offered, and promises a long lifespan.
    good show bro

Not sure what the hype is but none of them look that great. To busy with almost to much going on. Classic joes didn’t make that mistake until the 90’s. Every one has way too many dark colors. Maybe the next series will be better.
