Louis Thomas Hardin (May 26, 1916 - September 8, 1999), also known as Moondog, was an American musician, composer, theoretician, poet and inventor of several musical instruments. He was blind from the age of 16.
@DorianFuk - Absolutely, Dorian. The fact that Antony had the Musical Intelligence to seek out Moondog's Music and cover it is astounding - And I think Moondog would have loved it!
Yup, Motorpsycho covered Janis Joplin's cover =p Pretty awesome how they all sound completely different. Anthony has indeed more sentiment, but thats not really my cup of tea. I prefer the atmospheric version of Joplin and Motorpsycho, especially Motorpsycho's live versions, where they turn this song into a massive 10 minute + psychedelic rock monster
Even more so. At least the piano was Beethovens primary if not only instrument (idk i dont know anything about Beethoven). If we're going to call moondog anything other than a composer, we should call him a percussionist.

This is a fascinating cover. It picks up the atmospheric drone of the original beautiful and the undertones as well.
Amazing cover of an amazing song. Pure love.

Ever heard Motorpsycho's cover of this song? It's amazing
yes, it is !
Moondog was a great composer and singer. This version isn't bad, a bit warbly.
Doriane ! :D
it's a good cover... but i agree with hoxvoxbox... it's a 50's song, and not only that, but Moondog is a Kansas native, he moved to New York later.

Hello! do you know where can i find this full concert? Thank youu
try using soulseek, that's how i found it.
Astounding? But he calls Moondog a singer, which is as inaccurate as calling Beethoven a pianist. Moondog was a composer.

I heard that too and I completely agree with you. Moondog was a genius.
