I am sorry but I strongly disagree with on many levels:
    1. the definition of a Key Opinion leader is NOT " some one who talks a good game." This is very misleading and bad advice. As a PM, it will be very important to know why 15 KOLs are not enrolling......is it because they have minimal or no experience?
    2. Clinical Sites CAN BE innovative with patient recruitment, patient retention, patient engagement and the list goes on....This is even more important because each site is different in its setting => No one size fits all approach therefore creativity and innovation is warranted.

KOL’s are just like everyone else but most also do a lot of sales talks for pharma and end up getting into research through their connections but many do not do well. I was probably on a hyperbole fueled rant when i said this way back when but I’ll stand by the premise. As far as sites, of course they can be innovative when it comes to best practices and problem solving but at the end of the day we are following protocols and not much innovating allowed. I actually agree with you.

KOLs are usually important for the visibility of the trial in the community, I don't agree that they are necessarily the best recruiters ;)

KOLs are just salesmen. They don’t have real skills or knowledge and basically answer questions without actually answering and without saying anything with content (just empty words).

Dead wrong on so many levels, Keep quiet dear

Please try to get to the point. You talk like a manager who doesn’t know the answer a question but sends out a word stream.
