  • Hilleberg Akto Red Label one-man Solo four season tent sand color - setup and initial look. Combined with Sea To Summit Ether Light XT Insulated Mat and Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite SOL insulated mat.
It's a great tent for solo adventure, very packable, lightweight (in it's class)
Kerlon 1200 outer tent fabric and 9mm poles make for a very lightweight yet supremely stable tent.
All season construction: outer tent walls extend to the ground and mesh areas are backed with adjustable fabric panels.
Tunnel construction offers maximum space to weight ratio and is the ideal choice for mobile journeys.
Plenty of room for one occupant and his or her gear.
Linked but seperable inner and outer tent for simultaneous pitching.
Basic pitching requires only four pegs in the head and foot end guy lines, and the simple, single-opening, continuous pole sleeve and tensioner system is quick to pitch and remarkably stable. and
The single entrance/single vestibule configuration affords easy access as well as storage space.
An optional footprint covers the entire area of the outer tent, including the vestibules. It connects directly to the tent, and can be left attached during pitching.
The inner tent can be replaced with a Mesh Inner tent.
The outer and inner tents can be used separately. Pitching the inner tent alone requires optional pole holderes.
    Minimum Weight: 1.3 kg
    Packed Weight: 1.7 kg
    Outer tent fabric: Kerlon 1200
    Poles (9 mm): 1 x 293 cm

Shows the tent specs nicely! Just wondering if it feels claustrophobic un there?

It can be at first but you quickly get used to it. It’s easy to unzip the tent and see outside.

It’s a nice cheerful color. Not disturbing at all in person

Hilleberg put pegs through the corner rings on the windward side, put the pole in , then peg out the rings on the lee side. Would you do this if windy , or peg out the 4 corners then put in the pole as you did here?

Would really depend on the intensity of the wind and how hard or easy it is to get the pegs in. If I can get them in easily I’ll do it and then reposition later. If it’s not that windy I won’t bother.
With larger tunnel tents I do the same, or in winter roll out the Keron gradually in storms
