I guess hooking your smart phone up is just not possible on this projector, but Wow Wee the commercial on Facebook got my Wife excited enough to order this product so she could stream RUclips or Netflix from the iPhone or Android while relaxing on the back porch enjoying a glass of Wine after a long day. I'd love to see a reviewer showing how to do this. Thanks!

if your phone supports an HDMI output of some kind, yes you can. and there are a nice amount of phones that support it. If not that, a Chromecast would be a nice alternative.

Get a smart box or any android-based device you can use as an android interface for RUclips, Netflix and the likes. They cost around $20 to $100(just get the $20 one). Plug them straight to the projector via USB or HDMI and it'll function just like if you can stream your phone to the projector. They usually come with a slot for micro SD so you can use it as your multimedia all in one box type of device if you'd like.
Even better, your phone is going to be idle so in the meantime you can charge it or turn it off to save battery while you're watching.

Why does every HOw to video skip over plugging the cables in. You need to show what cables other then power cable. Becuase unit didnt come with plug for phone. What cable do I need?

Sorry about that. You'll need an hdmi cable to connect to your phone and towards the phone end, you'll need an hdmi to phone-plug converter. For example if youre using an iphone, then you need a 'lightning to hdmi adaptor'. Something like this: amzn.to/3FXqESO

@@MiiBooth thanks. I bought all the cables only to find out that my android phone itself doesnt have screen share mode and is not HDMI COMPATIBLE . I didnt even know that was something I needed to ask about when I bought it. OH Well I cant afford a new phone right now. 😳🙆 well projector was almost a good idea
