Hmm. I filmed this with my Matchless which isn't my normal go to for these things. It's a bit more punchy and I had it running through the fryette. I don't think I compressed the mics on this one. It's likely just the fact that it's blending with the in room mic plus the mics on the cab in the other room. There is defintely compression on the vocal mic which might be causing what you're describing.
@DanielSeriffMusic I had to look up what a fruette was I'm a amateur at best. Your tone has a nice warm feel to it not to high in treble range but you aren't sacrificing much it's a nice mix. I have a blues deluxe so now I'm looking up what this does seems like i could use it lol. My amp is way way to much but I love that classic tube amp sound I think it's how guitars are meant to sound. This is neat (not cheap).
Is there a system like this for the minor pentatonic, or do you just recommend working on the boxes for minor? I guess the system still holds up, you just flatten the 3rd and 6th thus removing the gap between the 2 and 3 and 5 and 6 intervals? 🤔
@@DanielSeriffMusic Thanks for the link! I've become a huge fan of CAGED because of the way the logic of guitar reveals itself in these patterns. The relationships between major and minor are so fascinating. The guitar really is an incredible instrument

You’re easily the best guitar teacher on RUclips right now for intermediate guitarists. The plateau breaker the melody maker.
Finally a good example of the major pentatonic!
Thanks so much for watching!
When I figured this out on my own in the last few years I was like, “Why isn’t anyone teaching pentatonics like this?”
Great lessons as always Daniel
Right?! It’s truly fretboard opening. I know I felt that way also. Thanks for being here!
Perfectly explained! Great video!
My brother!! Thank you!
A lot of nice double stops along the way too!

What you doing for your tone on those high strings. Are you increasing the mid and trebel and notching down bass? Compressor effect?

100%!
Instead of 3-2 pattern. Use a 2-3 pattern.

Hey thanks for the comment!
Duane Allman & Dickey Betts ?
All day!! The best, too.
Qu'est-ce que c'est chiant de toujours entendre les mêmes trucs qu'il y 100 ans !
Not boring at all!
