@@MattSoppa yeah I watched the comments explode about a dude getting bent out of shape because it was a 3v group. And he’s like this doesn’t belong HuRrRrR 😂
As a 3v owner with a brain, I got the car solely due to money at the age of 18 and I personally like the 07-09 gt500 look the most out of just about any mustang. That being said I knew I was sacrificing getting an engine worth modding to make significant power down the line. One day soon hopefully I’ll coyote swap it, but for a daily driver the 3v has been loyal and given 0 issues. With 4.10 gears a cold air and exhaust it’s been fun for my first manual V8 and I would recommend it to anyone trying to get into mustangs. But coyote is superior in every way possible literally by fact, and if you don’t think so there’s something wrong w you. I wish I could understand how a SOHC motor with less displacement making 300hp is better than a DOHC motor w better flowing heads and more displacement making 120 more hp😂
Hey Alex thanks for all you do. Because of your advice I have a ess g3x kit in the way to go with the fore triple pump fuel system and fic 1000h. And I’m having HPJ install it all in June. Thank you for educating me and making sure I don’t waste my money.
Dude I know put nos on a built 3v just to run .3 faster than my buddies gen1 with an intake eBay headers and e85 on a tire😂, I bought my 08 Bullitt knowing the motor was trash but I loved the body, it’s slow so it’ll get a yote when this motor launches the rods or phasers lol
I can understand wanting to talk to someone on the phone to get a quick answer, but most of the phone calls will be from problem customers who cant figure out how to load a tune, send an email, or use google. The guys who know what they're doing typically don't need to call anyone.
I do tech and sales for a shop. When a customer calls and the words " I'm an engineer " come out, I want to blow my brains out. Minimum 30 minutes on the phone
Ha, I do own a plumbing company. I hate engineers, but I like to prove them wrong. Every single one of them will work in that they are an engineer during the first minute of conversation. My uncle is an engineer and is a total asshole. He thinks he knows everything, but doesn't have a lot of common sense sometimes; kind of like Flores, here.
So get one. The term beater car is just that. Nothing wrong with a 3v. If you’re going to beat on it over winter, do it. It’ll get you from A to B. With oil changes they can get to 300k
When I worked in a shop I wanted to be on the phone as LITTLE as possible. The person I replaced was a big phone guy. So inefficient. If a vendor absolutely needed to clarify something that was lost in translation, sure a brief conversation. But invoices? Orders? To hell with calling up anyone
Having to watch the replay. Right off the bat, I knew I didn’t want a 3 valve. My ex-wife bought a coyote back in 2011. She could have gotten a great deal on a ‘10, but I said no freakin way. She didn’t understand the differences between the motors.
Can’t argue with this it is what it is for us 3 valve owners but I can’t be butt hurt over him speaking facts definitely love the car but huge money pit to even make coyote power just my opinion 🤷♂️
Only guestion could you install the mustang supercharger from your daily to your truck with small adjustments to make it work when you go possibly turbo on the white car As always thank for your time and knowledge
Hey Alex, I'm planning on getting a 2011-14 mustang gt. I'm new to this and planning on making it my daily driver. Is there anything that i should look out for?
watch out for cylinder #8 destroying your engine. If you got a manual, it will fail at some point. The AC evaporator is faulty and costs about 2 grand to repair because the entire dash has to come out. Engine tick and piston slap. Stability control will still come one even if you turn it off. Sometimes the electronics will screw up and the car will unexpectedly just die.
i bought my bullitt in 2009(late/new), a few months later the coyote was anounced so i was a little sad lol. coyote swap or build 3v seems like the price is nearly the same. maybe im wrong
Funny that you are talking up the piece of trash Getrag MT-82 transmission when one broke while you were making a video a couple of years ago when I actually watched your videos. They are full of plastic parts. I also don't like reverse where first gear usually is. It's the largest reason I didn't buy a newer model. I want to enjoy the car. If I just wanted straight line speed I would have just bought a Tesla. Speed is relative these days.
More unwarranted 3V hate from a cocky Coyote owner that forgot the history of the 05-10 cars and that without them he wouldn’t have his precious little “yote” !! Goddamn grow up !! They are a part of the Mustang story and AT THE TIME they had no competition, and AT THE TIME was the most powerful GT ever released.

Great show as usual
Forget you man, I'm gonna keep my 3V and tune it by reading the plugs and using a voltmeter on the maf. Stagecoach for life! 😂 😂 😂
😂 nailed it in the head with the angle kit on the 3v. Saw my old 3v on marketplace along the way from when I sold it and now someone added a angle kit

The only argument ever to be made for 2v 3v 4.6s is they do sound better. For an old guys that never WOT then there ya go.
Coyotes sound fuckin great in the old 2V body style with the old cat backs. I swear mid mount is the magic.

Wish I seen this live ! I literally gap this 3v in my 5.0 crew cab 2020 and his excuse was that he was not build 🤣
