You know how you sometimes come across this little gem of a song and you're grateful for having found it because your life wouldn't be complete without it? This is one of those songs. Such a great band.
I was playing random indie songs on spotify and I bumped in to the song "to seattle" and now here I am playing and loving every single song they have. It's just sad that there are only few that knows them💛🖤💛 but I'm glad that I found this band right before they will go on mainstream🥴🤣
I've been trying to figure out the time signature for weeks now. I think it's a mixture of 10/8 and 12/8 or else 5/4 and 4/4, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know?
I believe it alternates between 5/4 and 6/4 (or I guess you could call it one long measure of 11/4) and the chorus is in 6/4! Super simple, once you know it well. The beat length remains consistent throughout, so all you have to do is count a steady pulse.
Why is this song not famous omg- Mind if I use it in one of my youtube videos? I’ll give you full credit and hopefully more people will give it the attention it deserves

And I'm responsible for approx. 3k of those views. :p

Close! I believe it's 11/8, in a group of (12345)-(123456) with the chorus going to 4/4.
I could definitely be wrong but I thought of it as switching between 6/8 and 2/4 with the chorus in 4/4
