@@Berto98full im sad about how people discredit Anthony as a singer in the last tour just because john wasnt there. He sang better in 2016. . But yes he is good now too
@@teib757 I don't think so. Anthony in the last 10 years has been singing very badly on stage. Likewise saying that AK is now doing a better performance caused by the return of Frusciante, I consider that the same applies to Flea and Chad.
I think that is very evident how Frusciante powers the rest of the band and the band powers Frusciante: Flea does a better job on bass without the need to force a leadership in their music with overloaded bass lines. Chad can naturally expose his ability as a drummer, with much more space to develop his job (something that in the last 10 years we had stopped seeing, especially in studio).
It was obvious that this impact was going to happen. For the simple reason that the band stopped sounding like we were used to hear up to 2011. I love Josh's work and today I value it much more than before. I think he is an incredible musician but clearly the band was not the same without John, and I don't blame Josh for that, the real reason for that was the ausence of Frusciante. If it wasn't replaced by Josh, it would have happened with someone else. The same happened with Navarro, excelent music but not the same as John's brilliant spirit.
I'm very grateful for Josh and for making the Red Hot Chili Peppers sound different, showing other sides of Flea, Chad and Anthony. But it was time for the band of having a lead guitar again and being a rock band again.
How this song isn’t included in their regular set list baffles me. It’s def the best song on UL

@Andrew Peterson True! I personally think white braids would sound better on strat! I missed the tremolo sound in the outro... maybe he'll give it a try when playing another gig! For otherside and cali, it sounds 10x better with white falcon in my opinion

@@corkus1087 so back in the late 80's Anthony was in a little cafe and there was this elderly couple there that really caught his attention. The man had these waist length white braids and his wife had brought her own pillow in with her to sit on and he referred to them as white braids and pillow chair for the next few days. He kinda put it in his mind that one day he'd write a song about them and here it is! He was really struck by how much they seemed to love each other. I feel like this couple is probably long since dead, but I truly hope their kids or grandkids hear the song and realize it is about their parents/grandparents! ❤️😁

I heard live " Heavy wing" & "These are the ways". Two beautiful songs. But would change them with this one. Is the best of the album. That outro with surf rock style, makes me melt. Love it
Yeah, it's a bit of a shame they were throwing plenty of surprises during the European Tour, the beginning of the US tour, and now seem to be resting a bit by always playing the same songs, alternating between two types of setlists. I feel this could be the only live rendition of White Braids, which is a bit of a shame. It's a beautiful gift to Bratislava, but I hope to see them play it again in the future.

It’s definitely not a Gretsch on the record. John didn’t even have a Gretsch in the studio. It’s probably a Stratocaster for the first part and his red Jaguar for the second part.

Amazing song, great to see it make the setlist, but I think the outro needs a little more practice.
I would have never guessed that this song was played on the White Falcon. Makes sense why it sounded wrong on my strat.

I think Anthony could've sung it better if he sang it earlier in the concert. Its a chill song and his voice and lungs needs to be calm.
It seems to me he looks (so does John) self-conscious and nervous to do it right, for the first time, in front of the audience. He did great, anyway, they all do. I enjoy this tour so much, even behind RUclips...

I love RHCP but why Anthony is still jumping and running and spinning and floating and twisting at his 60's and then he's breathless to sing in tune? anthony I love you but in your place I would concentrate more on singing and less on jumping around

I should have known it was the white falcon on this song. I only have a 62 sunburst strat but I'll do my best to get this tone.
