Rest in peace Gabriel. Watching your documentary made me cry for you, You were an angel that was here on the earth with some evil people but you thought all of us to look around and pay attention. And we love you so much and pray and Hope you in peace now.
I've been listening to Jose Gonzalez for I don't even know how many years and somehow I've never heard this song?? It's got me in tears, beautiful, not just in the way it sounds but the lyrics too. I love almost every song he puts out but this one really just was what I needed to hear right now. Hearing songs like these that speak to you using someone else's words just make you go 'oh okay, I'm not alone, others feel this way'. Never underestimate that sort of validation
If only everyone in the world could hear this song, embrace it, understand it and live it... Imagine what a beautiful world we would have and that we could pass on to our children.
Gabriel Fernandez. This song was payed in a 6 part Netflix Documentary about him. He was brutally tortured and murdered at the age of eight by his mother and her boyfriend. Their main reason was because they believed he was gay like the two uncles who had previously raised him were. Its a tragic, tragic story. There are videos on youtube about it. You can also find the documentary on Netflix. I would tell you to watch at your own risk because you will cry and the details are gut-wrenching. Rip Sweet little Gabriel.
Am I the only one hearing alot of science in his lyrics? I'm sure I'm not since I think it's quite obvious. Well, it's a beautiful song however you turn it.
I think so yes. I think song is about embracing the one life we have on this 'globe in the void'. Leaf Off seems to have a similar theme. Beautiful music and a beautiful message :)
+Son Of The Stars As a big fan of zoology and evolutionary biology I've come across Dawkins myself many times. I read his book The Selfish Gene not too long ago.
This man and his music has done more for me than I will ever be able to express.
Rest In Peace: Gabriel Fernandez. I hope you feel safe and happy in heaven. May god bless you with everything he has to offer. ✨🌟
Hear, Hear. Rest In Eternal Peace.

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Those lyrics are fucking awesome. I feel like reading a Murakami's book.
Yeah, listen to All Tomorrow's Parties by The Velvet Underground. And read Tolkien ;)

Kailey`s heart and alma brought me, and I love her to take a time, and build a home. 🙏 Love u Kailey.

Every age has its turn
Every branch of the tree has to learn
Learn to grow, find its way,
Make the best of this short-lived stay
Take this seed, take this spade
Take this dream of a better day
Take your time, build a home
Build a place where we all can belong
Some things change, some remain
Some will pass us unnoticed by
What to focus on, to improve upon
In the face of our ancient tribes
Feels so clear, feels so obvious
To each one on their own
But we are here, together
Reaping what time and what we have sown
We don't choose where we're born
We don't choose in what pocket or form
But we can learn to know
Ourselves on this globe in the void
Take this mind, take this pen
Take this dream of a better land
Take your time, build a home
Build a place where we all... can belong

+anonymousSWE Yeah! He is a huge fan of Richard Dawkins and references secularism and science in every album!
