Hi there , thanks for watching 😊 There is no specific amount really, what I did was soak the raisins in rum. I have a container of rum soaked raisins that I have preserved for baking fruit cake , I just used some of those. Basically enough rum to ensure your raisins get soaked.
Sorry it didn’t turn out right for you this time, try it again. Just mix until when you lift the mixer the peaks stand and you should be fine . Remember to also soak the raisins in rum as well.
The process is the same , you would just add the other ingredients instead of the raisins , If I get enough requests , I will do another icecream recipe .
I guess the cream is whipped by itself to achieve the consistency needed , then the condensed milk is added as a sweetener. I doubt the texture would be achieved if condensed milk is added before cream is whipped.
I normally whip the cream to a almost stiff consistency then beat in the condensed milk then the ingredients but will try it this way seems creamier 👍🏾🇯🇲🇧🇧
It seems that you may not have whipped the cream long enough . It has to be whipped to the extent that when you lift the mixer from the bowl, the cream has a peak , meaning it raises with the mixer and stays in place .
