Love what you said, "our lifestyle dictates our schooling" - so great! I taught in the public school system for 24.5 years, and I am ALL for homeschooling - ALL for it, for many reasons. Your kids have learned such useful and important tools that they can use in their future lives. So inspiring!

I’ve been homeschooling for over 12 years. Child led with what they are interested in was key for us. We have no set schedule as long as work is being accomplished. Their relationship with God, and character is just as important as education

I absolutely love how your kids are so kind and supportive of each other. That is sadly not the environment that is present in most homes. One of the reasons I have chosen to homeschool my kids is because I want to have those strong sibling bonds between my children. But most days there is a lot of conflict. I would love a mama video about how you foster those relationship dynamics.

Oh my, people could learn a lot of good stuff from this wonderful example of a perfect mother. The kids are really lovely, well balanced, kind and funny. The kids are receiving a wealth of knowledge that stretches the boundaries of formal education. The world would be a far better case if all kids we brought up like this. This family is a wonderful example of what a family should look like. May God continue to bless you all.

Hey family, be encouraged in Jesus Name! It is the biggest blessing to get to homeschool. It is possible, because God lift us up SO MUCH! We do also have some health issues now and then. But God surpasses that and He uses the gifts He has given us, so greatly. We have a stay at home-dad, who happens to have almost all education as a teacher. Now he get to use it. Mom is stay at home also, and participate all I can with languageskills. We were kind of prepared for this, because we have seen some videos from 1000 of roots, as long with Tiny Notes From Home and Texasboys for more than 3 years. What we saw there was encouraging and uplifting, children thriving and glowing, while getting to know their Creator better! At the end of this month, we have 1 year anniversary as homeschoolers. God planned this for us, we can testify of that also. (That would be some looong comment!) :-) We don´t feel we are perfect, but we see HOW perfect Gods planning in all this is! After 4 months of HS, He send a family to visit us here at home (during lockdown, no borders are closed, when He sends people on mission!) and they greatly encouraged us in Christ. (In denmark, it is not so common to HS, but it is growing.) It made a huge impact on our daughter, who asked Jesus to come in and be Lord and Saviour as 9 year old, but now - 3 years older - she saw a lot more, and just wanted to get baptized to Him, so she got baptized the second day of summervacation! :-) We hope and pray, that this testimony will speak LIFE to your spirit, and JOY and HOPE to get going in His direction for your children and family. God bless you abundantly in Jesus Name! Your family in Christ from Denmark.

Homeschooling is daunting at first. But as you start doing it, it starts to fall into place. Find other families that are homeschooling, I can't tell you how valuable homeschool parent networking is. I've had mom's with older children pass down curriculum to families with young kids. & Other families getting together can help hugely with socialization. Even just a picnic or potluck in the park for the group.

What an awesome video! Thank you for covering my suggestion for a video as I was curious how things work.
I agree education is important but so are skills. You are all using skills that cover most Jobs require eg time management, team work, communication, training/trainer, leadership etc. one thing (speaking from experience) occupational health and safety. Please stay safe when using power tools. A face mask helps from breathing in all the saw dust , especially cutting wood that has been stained or painted. Plus eye goggles as debris can go into your eyes and cause major lifetime problems to your eyes.
The best skills of all that you share is love and caring skills. Nowadays children are so isolated and are using electronics to communicate etc that they are lonely, depressed and don’t know how to communicate with others if theirs no keyboard in front of them. Sad 😞 pray for them.
    I love your family ❤️

I am not a big fan of home schooling. BUT, I am a fan of allowing parents to decide how they school their children. As long as the kids are learning what they need to in order to go into college a trade school or just getting a good job, then a parent has the right to school how they see fit. I have family that did homeschool and the grown kids say they hated it! We are in a small town. Therefore the school activities are a big part of the lives here. Football games, homecoming parades and dances, prom, etc are huge here. Good luck on your schooling and bless you all. I feel that most parents do not have the knowledge to school their kids. You obviously do. Great job!!

I can honestly say you and your parents channel are my favorite homestead channel, because you are all such a great example to us on how to be a loving family that focuses on the important things in life. Loving the Father first and formost and teaching each other to be the best and do the best in whatever you do. You have the freedom to explore your interests andyou are learning that as long as you love the Father and the Son, and love your neighbor as yourself (which starts with your family) everything else will be shown to you by the Father if you trust in Him to give you the desires of your heart. I love the buddy system!

When I was homeschooled, we used Teaching Textbooks for math and it was amazing! They have individual modules that you work through everyday. It has cute little doodled characters that you work alongside with and funny little stories for word problems. They have programs for grades 3 to pre-calc, and the sets come with a physical textbook as well as a computer program. (CD) They even have a large family discount!
It seems like you guys already have a great system that is working well for the children, but I just had to mention this program! It was a life changer for me and it made me actually enjoy my classes.

We don't homeschool but I love the concept of it very much. I lack the confidence primarily I guess. It’s wonderful you have better storage for your holeschooling things now in your cabin! Storage makes such a difference in a tiny space. We home educated for a few months this year during various lockdowns and I definitely found living in a 30ft yurt with a baby made some things tricky to manage. And I only have 4 children! ❤️

No wonder your children are so smart, sweet, and helpful with each other! Teaching them practical skills is tremendously important in today's world. It's great to learn (and get a degree), but if you can't function and use those skills to survive, live, and earn a living, then they're pretty useless!
Kudos to you and your family for encouraging them to learn as well as to use their spiritual gifts!
