Love what you said, "our lifestyle dictates our schooling" - so great! I taught in the public school system for 24.5 years, and I am ALL for homeschooling - ALL for it, for many reasons. Your kids have learned such useful and important tools that they can use in their future lives. So inspiring!
I’ve been homeschooling for over 12 years. Child led with what they are interested in was key for us. We have no set schedule as long as work is being accomplished. Their relationship with God, and character is just as important as education
I absolutely love how your kids are so kind and supportive of each other. That is sadly not the environment that is present in most homes. One of the reasons I have chosen to homeschool my kids is because I want to have those strong sibling bonds between my children. But most days there is a lot of conflict. I would love a mama video about how you foster those relationship dynamics.
Please consider making another video to share more about homeschooling advice, Carrie. I am going to be helping with homeschooling my grandchildren and I would so appreciate hearing more. This video was wonderful!
what a healthy wonderful life. 🙏Blessed to have a mommy who is a teacher and mommy is blessed with her wonderful great children. This is what life is all about. ❤️ Not all days feel perfect, but many moments are happy. Thank you so much for sharing guys
Oh my, people could learn a lot of good stuff from this wonderful example of a perfect mother. The kids are really lovely, well balanced, kind and funny. The kids are receiving a wealth of knowledge that stretches the boundaries of formal education. The world would be a far better case if all kids we brought up like this. This family is a wonderful example of what a family should look like. May God continue to bless you all.
The way things are going in California, we will probably have to start homeschooling too! And I’m scared to death about it because of my health issues! But, I’m thankful for your channel so I can refer to it! Thank you!
Hey family, be encouraged in Jesus Name! It is the biggest blessing to get to homeschool. It is possible, because God lift us up SO MUCH! We do also have some health issues now and then. But God surpasses that and He uses the gifts He has given us, so greatly. We have a stay at home-dad, who happens to have almost all education as a teacher. Now he get to use it. Mom is stay at home also, and participate all I can with languageskills. We were kind of prepared for this, because we have seen some videos from 1000 of roots, as long with Tiny Notes From Home and Texasboys for more than 3 years. What we saw there was encouraging and uplifting, children thriving and glowing, while getting to know their Creator better! At the end of this month, we have 1 year anniversary as homeschoolers. God planned this for us, we can testify of that also. (That would be some looong comment!) :-) We don´t feel we are perfect, but we see HOW perfect Gods planning in all this is! After 4 months of HS, He send a family to visit us here at home (during lockdown, no borders are closed, when He sends people on mission!) and they greatly encouraged us in Christ. (In denmark, it is not so common to HS, but it is growing.) It made a huge impact on our daughter, who asked Jesus to come in and be Lord and Saviour as 9 year old, but now - 3 years older - she saw a lot more, and just wanted to get baptized to Him, so she got baptized the second day of summervacation! :-) We hope and pray, that this testimony will speak LIFE to your spirit, and JOY and HOPE to get going in His direction for your children and family. God bless you abundantly in Jesus Name! Your family in Christ from Denmark.
Homeschooling is daunting at first. But as you start doing it, it starts to fall into place. Find other families that are homeschooling, I can't tell you how valuable homeschool parent networking is. I've had mom's with older children pass down curriculum to families with young kids. & Other families getting together can help hugely with socialization. Even just a picnic or potluck in the park for the group.
Oh friend! Pray for guidance & you’ll find it. I have been homeschooling for years with chronic health conditions. The great benefit is, if you need a sick day, or a day for appointments, you can take it.
School the way school should be! Great presentation of your children's education, and that sweet little thank-you from Abbie at the end was priceless! All of your children are so well-mannered...
Love love watching you . I HAVE A SERIOUS QUESTION HOW MANY TIMES A DAY DOES YOUR MOM DO DISHES. IT IS JUST MY HUSBAND AND I . I SEEM TO BEING DOING DISHES MORE THAN I WANT LOL. AND I GAVE UP A DISHWASHER TO HAVE MORE KITCHEN DRAWERS IN MY KITCHEN LOL.
What an awesome video! Thank you for covering my suggestion for a video as I was curious how things work. I agree education is important but so are skills. You are all using skills that cover most Jobs require eg time management, team work, communication, training/trainer, leadership etc. one thing (speaking from experience) occupational health and safety. Please stay safe when using power tools. A face mask helps from breathing in all the saw dust , especially cutting wood that has been stained or painted. Plus eye goggles as debris can go into your eyes and cause major lifetime problems to your eyes. The best skills of all that you share is love and caring skills. Nowadays children are so isolated and are using electronics to communicate etc that they are lonely, depressed and don’t know how to communicate with others if theirs no keyboard in front of them. Sad 😞 pray for them. I love your family ❤️ Norma Sydney, Australia
Josh you're pretty good camera man I have noticed. Good job buddy. Your mom's a talker I like listening to her. You guys have a good teacher that is for sure.
If my kids were young again, I definitely would home school them. It is so nice seeing a family (yours) all working together to help one another. I'm so happy God sent me to your channel. That soup sure looks good, Esther Pie!
I am not a big fan of home schooling. BUT, I am a fan of allowing parents to decide how they school their children. As long as the kids are learning what they need to in order to go into college a trade school or just getting a good job, then a parent has the right to school how they see fit. I have family that did homeschool and the grown kids say they hated it! We are in a small town. Therefore the school activities are a big part of the lives here. Football games, homecoming parades and dances, prom, etc are huge here. Good luck on your schooling and bless you all. I feel that most parents do not have the knowledge to school their kids. You obviously do. Great job!!
I seriously WISH I grew up in a family like this- I wish I would have known this was even possible 26 years ago when I had my first- this homesteading lifestyle is new to me and I honestly cannot wait until our dreams of owning property and being self sufficient is a reality - that’s is for this inspiration!!!
I feel the exact same way. My kids are just finished/finishing high school. I dont have many regrets in life, but knowing more about homeschool and having more kids are something I wish I had done. But moving forward I hope to have a homestead for grandkids some day. Much love and blessings to you and yours.
Your channel brings me such Joy its so refreshing to see children that are being so beautifully raised. Such a wonderful family children need structure and faith your children are going to be so ready for life as an adult 🙏❤ whenever I watch your channel I really feel the holy spirit I love ya'll so much God Bless each and every one of you ❤ 🙏❤
Home schooling is a way of life. Thank you for sharing a little how you do it. I like the buddy system idea. We have been homeschooling awhile now, 26 years. I have only my last daughter at home, she is 16. I am grateful to Yehovah that He led me to start and equipped me throughout the years.
Momma has an excellent homeschooling system set up for all you children! The pandemic has proven to many that homeschooling is a wonderful choice! Hope to see it grow exponentially in the years to come.
I love seeing what the kids do for school. I was a Special Education teacher for 28 years and Elem 1st grade teacher for 4 years. . I am amazed at how well the kids help each other. CARRIE you and Kip are doing a great job. Look forwarded to watching both shows. Keep up the good videos.
Hi I noticed your kids beds are on the floor and I used to have my bed on the floor but I live in a small house and needed more storage so I bought a bed frame from Walmart that doesn't use a box spring and now my bed is three feet off the ground and I can put cheep buckets under my bed to store things. Just a suggestion
everything you mentioned sounds really interesting I think one thing I like about the way you do homeschooling Is how well rounded It Is and the kind of subjects you offer Kids that go to public school would not get to experience something like that
Your children are so amazing. I think they are so well rounded, balanced and have a calmness that can't be taught without a true commitment to Christ. Well done.
Just love the way your family all help each other and how you fit the home schooling to your life. I think it works for your family because you are homesteading. When free time means tv or video games or computers it's not quite the same. God bless you for the choices you have made for your family.
I can honestly say you and your parents channel are my favorite homestead channel, because you are all such a great example to us on how to be a loving family that focuses on the important things in life. Loving the Father first and formost and teaching each other to be the best and do the best in whatever you do. You have the freedom to explore your interests andyou are learning that as long as you love the Father and the Son, and love your neighbor as yourself (which starts with your family) everything else will be shown to you by the Father if you trust in Him to give you the desires of your heart. I love the buddy system!
Amazing! I am also a teacher ( French) and wish I would have had the courage to homeschool our 4 kids. We do homestead and have had a chance to homeschool our foster kids and daughter during the pandemic isolation. It was interesting. Not as I would have planned it as we had to follow the public school system curriculum. But I certainly appreciated the experience;) congratulations! You have beautiful children and they are very well behaved💜
Thanks so much for this encouragement! We are expecting our sixth & our oldest is eleven. Strict schedules are no longer working well for us in homeschooling & this was inspiring. Thanks for the reminder of how life can look different and often *should* look different than traditional school. It's so hard to get out of that mindset when it's so ingrained in our culture! PS- Wish we lived in Missouri. We could use some more like-minded friends!
When I was homeschooled, we used Teaching Textbooks for math and it was amazing! They have individual modules that you work through everyday. It has cute little doodled characters that you work alongside with and funny little stories for word problems. They have programs for grades 3 to pre-calc, and the sets come with a physical textbook as well as a computer program. (CD) They even have a large family discount! It seems like you guys already have a great system that is working well for the children, but I just had to mention this program! It was a life changer for me and it made me actually enjoy my classes. Thank you for taking so much time out of your day to film these videos. They make my heart so happy.
This was so insightful! What an amazing thing to have such a large, beautiful family. What a true blessing the Lord has given you to have each other! Yah bless you all! ~Mara
We don't homeschool but I love the concept of it very much. I lack the confidence primarily I guess. It’s wonderful you have better storage for your holeschooling things now in your cabin! Storage makes such a difference in a tiny space. We home educated for a few months this year during various lockdowns and I definitely found living in a 30ft yurt with a baby made some things tricky to manage. And I only have 4 children! ❤️
No wonder your children are so smart, sweet, and helpful with each other! Teaching them practical skills is tremendously important in today's world. It's great to learn (and get a degree), but if you can't function and use those skills to survive, live, and earn a living, then they're pretty useless! Kudos to you and your family for encouraging them to learn as well as to use their spiritual gifts! Blessings to you all ❤️🙌🏼😊!!!
I watched a few episodes years ago......Your beautiful family has gone from strength to strength....love it I really would love your postal address....I want to send you something from New Zealand.......Keep up the brilliant work.....a beautiful mummy..❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰
5:22 I wish I had that opportunity too but I didn't have any siblings young enough to be able to take care of. Love love the experiences you're providing for the children. ❤️
Love that you homeschool. If I could have a do over, I would as well! Do the children have to take any type of state mandated tests to prove they are being schooled! Thx!

You have such sweet talented children & so helpful to other members of the family. Peggy T.
I love how you celebrate each child's gifts
Such precious kids. Every one of them! You are so blessed.

My daughter homeschools her 3 children. I'm so glad she does. ❤️
You must be so proud of your children, rightfully so. They are all amazing!
I love watching the sweet interactions between the children ❤️

You are welcome.
Childcare should be a course in ALL schools and not as an elective either! Love watching your channels! 🙂
I love the name Esther. Esther is my favorite book in the Bible.
That’s so awesome to see the older kids helping their younger siblings.

Hi lovely family ... In France, home school is forbidden in next september !
How lucky your are. Enjoy !
Love from a grandma
What a beautiful job Caleb! I love seeing all the children at their individual tasks and stages. What a lovely family you have.
Josh you're pretty good camera man I have noticed. Good job buddy. Your mom's a talker I like listening to her. You guys have a good teacher that is for sure.
My favorite history curriculum by far is Notgrass. Very interesting and Christian based. Another favorite is BJU press, also Christian based.
If my kids were young again, I definitely would home school them. It is so nice seeing a family (yours) all working together to help one another. I'm so happy God sent me to your channel. That soup sure looks good, Esther Pie!
You are such an inspiration in homeschooling..! Do you mind sharing a picture of their checklist schedule please.
The best home school!

Great video!
Love that you homeschool. If I could have a do over, I would as well! Do the children have to take any type of state mandated tests to prove they are being schooled! Thx!
I love your Buddy system and how it works out with each of them. As always, such an enjoyable visit with the family. Love y’all!
Awsome storage--always a great stress reliever.
I love watching your videos and I know one day my children will have the gratitude, kindness, skills and wholesomeness that your children do. It’s absolutely fantastic to see 😊
