A person who cares so much for animals/trees surely is a great human being. Had read an article of hers in the illustrated weekly ages back &it opened my eyes to the cruelty to animals. Stopped using leather and perfumes from that day. Respect.

I remember meeting an e rickshaw driver from Sultanpur, in Dwarka New Delhi , who fondly recalled help on various issues from Hon'ble MP Madam Smt Menka Gandhi.

In the early 1980s, Maneka Gandhi was a member of Janta party. Vidya Sagar was president Janta party, District Patiala. I was Deputy Commissioner, Patiala in the early 1980s. Because of communal riots in Patiala, I had imposed curfew in the gated city. Vidya Sagar's son, Ashwini Kumar appeared in the balcony of his house. The Police shot him dead. Maneka Gandhi visited Patiala. She wanted to address the public outside Sheranwala gate. I spoke to the Home Secretary, Amrik Singh Pooni whether she should be allowed to address the public because of imposition of Section 144 Cr. P.C. He told me that she should not be allowed to address the public. As she got out of the Circuit House, she was arrested and was sent to the Sadr Police Station on Nabha Road. She was sent back at midnight towards Delhi. I have narrated this incident in detail in my autobiography.

Varun Gandhi stands head and shoulders above Modi and his cabinet. The man is a writer and author but has never shown of his background. Even when he 'chided' certain going ons in the BJP itv was with no malice of self assessment as better than others. One wishes we had more like him to improve the quality of politicians who claim to be serving the people. Manila's interview was so different than those given by Rahul, who, whenever he speaks he never forgets to lay on the emphasis of keeping India as the fiefdom of the Gandhis

Smt Maneka Gandhi has done a lot for women and children. If she enters the parliament for the eighth time she should be honored suitably.

After seeing Priyanka's interview with srinivasan, feels like mrs. Meneka seems to be a losser. She did a real harm to Indira Ji post Sanjay Ji's death. She is the shrewd daughter in law of family who wants all wealth of family. Interestingly there was never wealth, all the family has was sacrifices. Mrs Maneka can't take path of sacrifice.

Yet it was a BJP person who urinated on a Hindu. It was Hindu women wrestlers who did not get justice from the BJP government against the alleged rapist belonging to the BJP. Many of the thousands of migrant workers who had to trudge home for days and days without any support from the BJP government during the covid pandemic lockdown were Hindus. Who was ruling when our holiest river Ganges was swollen with dead bodies and bodies buried under the sand during the Covid pandemic? Perhaps the BJP's self declared devotion to the Hindu religion would be more credible and believable if the Party did less of empty speaking about the Hindu religion and showed their support through positive actions
