Dave, you know you drive me nutty when you're eye ballin' the possibilities and don't make any decision. You've got the van, perhaps its time for a trailer?
Nice sélection Dave, you still might get lucky. It's so pretty upstate PA compared to Philly where I grew up. Stay safe and healthy... Larry Hi to Bella.
We downsized from a 35' Bullet Premier with 3 slides to a 22' Wildwood X-Lite with no slides, a murphy bed and tandem axel and we absolutely love it. It's been so much easier to negotiate things. No regrets! Hi Bella!
I live in Eastern WA. I will sale you my 24 ft Coachman Freelander. 2013 with 29,600 miles. Everything works. It has the 450 Chevy Chassis. It gets 9.5 mpg.
Well that was a nice little mosey round the yard looking for ideas. Love looking at the possibilities. Thanks for taking us along! Bella Bella Bella ! 🤗
Got my 31ft 2002 National Seabreeze with 11040 original miles. Love it!!! Serving me beautifully for 14 months! $18k Just passed 10k miles this week. All steel from top to bottom. 4 season too. Ford V10.
i say a older class c, you would know what to look for & look at. i would check the roof for sure. make sure the oil was done, the tires don't got rot.
If you use RV parks, I've noticed they have been starting to say only 26 ft. or bigger, allowed, that is so wrong! But that's what they are at, also the no more than 10 years old thing too! I think that is total gentrification if you ask me...
I spring does this to you Dave, or maybe it’s the long haul back home that makes you start thinking you need a project and should downsize. Good luck searching whatever you decide to do.🙋🏼♀️
Hi Dave: What about a GMC Motorhome. (Restored). Seeing they were built ahead of time. (Same as the Jumbo 747). Sure it will be just the right size for you and Bella. Thank you for showing us around. I sure like the "Window shopping ". Regards
I really enjoyed your revisitation of the van! You did a super job of turning that small space into a very livable, cosy home on wheels!!! Hope we get to see you travel in it some day 😁
A Coachman Class C seems your par. My is a Navion Winnebago..mercedes..tooo expenses for maintence . RV REBel Girl uses a van to tow her TT. She loves the van for extra storage.
Nothing looked as inviting as the Bounder does to me. Something eventually will capture your attention. Sure enjoyed looking with you. So many styles to look at.
1997 Winnebago Minnie 29RQ Retro Class C, 59K Miles, Sleeps 7, All Original, AWESOME RV!! $19,900 listed 3hours a go kindly cheek park way RV Chanelle. All the best
I like the Wee-Roll trailers. Several models and build options and look to be a unit that will last for many years. Can pick it up in Florida after it's built.
Great channel! Love this video. Found you totally by accident and this is really great info for a gal like me because I was originally going to try to convert an old school bus but have come to the realization that I think an RV is going to be a better way for me to go. My budget is very limited not to mention I'm disabled so finding even a basic RV and one that's a bit older at that, has been a challenge. Thanks for all the great info and the looking around! I'm definitely going to subscribe! 🤓
I roll out a roll of roofing rubber if I park for a while over dirt.. I park on ( tires on ) boards 2 x 4s and roll the rubber sheet out... and the entire vehicle is parked over a vaper barrier. It's just as good as parking it on concrete.. no moisture rising up from the dirt... no dampness on tires the entire time.. helps to keep my rigs cleaner, dryer and better maintained.. It also keeps pretty much all ants and other critters away... Not 100% but extremely helpful for sure..
just watched the vid have a Fleetwood Southwind 23 ft. new awning, front tires, drivers windshield. 4 new Bilstein shocks and front air springs with 18 miles on them. 400 muffler, gen .avg mpg from NY to SC was 8-10 bath tub has a crack is only thing wrong with it. 3500. i just bought a 36 ft. diesel pusher for stupid cheap only reason I'm selling
The tip for shopping rv storage lots, is don't just look for signs, look at the tags. I've seen rv's in a storage lot that had tags expired 11 years ago. You can talk to the people running the lot with the rv information and ask them if they can get a message to the owner that you'd be interested in talking to them about buying the RV that they've been paying to store the last X years...
I bet you will miss the Bounder when she is gone . She is a lovely big old girl . And roomy always has advantages . But I can only imagine your gas bill ..
That Winnebago doesn't look too bad. $1900. I have never seen any RV, van or caravan that cheap in Australia. I looked at second hand in Australia and they were either too heavy , too expensive or a insurance wipe off sale and still asking price of $20k too much for you need to gut it and fix to get road worthy. That's why I got mine built, my caravan is 3500 pounds.
Hello Dave Bella and the Bounder!!! Glad to see that you found this place and that you’re shopping around , exploring all of your options. Have you ever considered a pop up camper ? I’ve camped out with friends for many years in a pop up and it was very nice and comfortable. The Bounder’a been so good to you and Bella and she loves it- it’s gotten you guys across country. Any future plans for the white van you started fixing up? You’re making the right decision and that’s good because you don’t want to jump into getting an RV you don’t want. Wishing you the best of luck in finding a suitable RV for you & Bella and keep shopping around and you’ll eventually find one you’ll be happy with. Nice looking RVs !! My dad has a Class A (not sure the name) but it’s called Daybreak and a Class A . Great video and again best of luck finding the right RV that best suits your needs and is reasonably priced. Be safe and glad you finally made it back home to PA. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍👍👍love to you Bella
It would save you money but it would be back to fixing again. You aren't far from our camp. We don't move ours , nothing to tow with. We fixed ours to make it comfortable. I didn't want slides too. Ours is 25 feet, we call it our summer home. I just like looking at different rv's.
We have a Born Free 22 ft long. Love ❤ love ❤ this length. Easy to drive, park in smaller places. Stand up. Has bath, stove, fridge, microwave, awaning, genie water..Get on line check out Kuhns truck and trailer. It is in Ohio. Check them out on line. Stay safe. God's blessings
I have all but given up on a class C. Last year the prices were way too high, plus Class C rigs are scarce ( Class A's are everywhere for sale, cheap ) and now according to AAA, from March 2021- March 2022 gas went up $ 1.17 per gallon, then Russia invaded and gas went up another dollar + per gallon :(
I noticed they park on the dirt,.,. Not good you should always at least place boards or bricks under your tire.. keep them off the dirt as much as possible...
Lots of good ideas for redoing old RVs. But, stay away from Winnebago. I'll bet that one needs a complete roof replacement. They all do after 10 years, even newer ones. Check out, AZ EXPERT RUclips channel, he repairs Motorhomes and is always replacing Winnebago roofs. Either way, Good luck
Do the math... that's around a 100 bucks per month per unit... easy right..an easy 2K plus there... that's a really nice extra side hustle for sure.. Betya Uncle Sam aint seeing hardly a dime of that.. money.. Just sayin !
Hi guys ,what would it cost to put aV8 diesel in Betty?? ,That world be really cool heaps of power and heaps of class anyway, remember all thing new and shiny aren’t gold ,the price of a fully recond diesel would have to be cheaper than repairing a smaller RV with who no’s what’s wrong with it and you still end up with an old RV and you no Betty devils ,I’m really on Betty side cheers, I think her size is one of the luxury’s I mean you are living in her ,good shower size , heaps of bed room to sleep on, kitchen great, lounge to put your feet up with friends, and motorcycles rack & E bike on the back it would still cost heaps in a smaller RV towing a motorcycle & it E bike ? But a big diesel? Who knows anyhow cheers Dave,Bella 🇦🇺🇺🇸✌️🦘🐕🚌
Great project - build a cargo trailer out. Flat walls. Insulate easy, windows.
Pull with van. Two worlds.
So funny. As you were looking around, I kept hoping you would go back to that shorty Class A. Sure enough you did.... haha! two great minds ;-)
It’s only a matter of time before international travel will pick up again, a lot of RV’s will be available 2nd hand
That sure is good to hear because I'm looking for a second hand RV, preferably a class b or c. 🤓
Dave, you know you drive me nutty when you're eye ballin' the possibilities and don't make any decision. You've got the van, perhaps its time for a trailer?
Looking for ideas around there would drive me nuts, way too many possibilities. 😂 Those little airstreams remind me of horse trailers.
Hi Dave! Glad you enjoyed campground ⛺️ Thank you for sharing this great video!
Nice sélection Dave, you still might get lucky. It's so pretty upstate PA compared to Philly where I grew up. Stay safe and healthy... Larry
Hi to Bella.
Hope you find what you want. I like the travel trailers
You should check out a Safari Trek !!
Those Safari s are beautiful.
We downsized from a 35' Bullet Premier with 3 slides to a 22' Wildwood X-Lite with no slides, a murphy bed and tandem axel and we absolutely love it. It's been so much easier to negotiate things. No regrets! Hi Bella!

5 thousand pounds wow! Must-have stainless steel appliances 😂
My wife and I can't wait to start shopping for our first RV
Yeah, those small Airstreams are crazy expensive. My Tab 400 is $15K more than what I paid in 2021.
Love to go shopping!

Dave, I have a 23' Arctic Fox. Nice size for solo and very well made.
Dave PA weather this week is reminding you why you left 😉 Winnebagos were always my favorite. It has everything as you mentioned.
It's always fun looking at the possibilities. 👍😁
You'll make it work, whatever you decide

@Travel Duckwonder Hey, thanks so much for your comment! Some good tips and points you made there. Much appreciated. 🤓
What would be your dream motorhome or tow vehicle with pull-behind if money was absolutely no issue?
Mine would be a Newell or a Prevost

Great idea!
Was curious if you have ever considered the Rexhall brand or looking more towards a towable.
The “Hunt” is half the fun! I’m looking myself but not near ready to buy.
I Like it too 👍
I bet you will miss the Bounder when she is gone . She is a lovely big old girl . And roomy always has advantages . But I can only imagine your gas bill ..
All those rigs and most of them uncovered taking a beating in the weather. What a shame.
I don't know what you get for 3,000 vs 5,000 pounds, but am guessing it is worth it? Thoughts?
I like your thinking 🤔 have you thought about just building out a cargo trailer?

good vid on your channel thanks lee
Dave has you every filmed the inside of any campers. I would be interested in seeing some.
Joined for this content.
So if you were to sell the bounder how much would you be looking for it? I need a newer rv, mine needs soo much work i just cant really get to it x.x
Good video 👍🙋♀️🌻🙏 give Bella a hug for me❤️
I'm in Oklahoma! this is a great idea!
I remember a Slide Out lets in a lot of cold air.
That is a very good question! lol
Can you pull that first smaller trailer with the rear door with the van???
Depends on the condition and price of the Winnebago.??maybe a good project dave🤔🇦🇺🇦🇺

Maybe cargo trailer conversion might be the way to got.
It would save you money but it would be back to fixing again. You aren't far from our camp. We don't move ours , nothing to tow with. We fixed ours to make it comfortable. I didn't want slides too. Ours is 25 feet, we call it our summer home. I just like looking at different rv's.

If you are in town still , how about meeting for dinner at Red Robin Sunday ?? Rost and I can pick you up in a car. --carl

Oh you;re back in PA?
Does most RV storing yards have them for sale? Also, where is this at - is like to come look as we are looking into buying.
I've already bought this one, sorry. It's not uncommon to see a few for sale in various storage lots.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I want a motor home but don’t know if I should finance through the bank or through the rv places

🙂☕☕💕, hi Bella 🦴🐾🤗
Good morning Beast Dave Bella RUclips Video Candna Ontario Mississauga RUclips video 🇨🇦🇨🇦🌱🌱🌿🌿🌿☘️☘️☘️🐕
Why you dont simple cargo trailer 12 foot or litlle bit more and do build up and you pull it whit your truck.
Your time could be close with folks returning to work and with the high gas prices, you just might come across a bargain.
Maybe tow your van with your new vehicle
👍
Lots of good ideas for redoing old RVs. But, stay away from Winnebago. I'll bet that one needs a complete roof replacement. They all do after 10 years, even newer ones. Check out, AZ EXPERT RUclips channel, he repairs Motorhomes and is always replacing Winnebago roofs.
Either way, Good luck
