Remember guys, you can do the "It was just a dream." bit once. One time ever, that is it! It doesn't matter if this is a whole different campaign, if you're playing with the same players you can't use it. The only reasonable excuse you can give to justify further use is if you're battling a character that is already known to use magic that effects peoples dreams. The players need to know that this is happening too, you can't just keep making them wake up from dreams without setting this plot hook up or they're going to get annoyed.

As a DM, the phrase my players fear most is "How many of you can climb walls or fly?"
a lot of the traps in my proper dungeon crawls, are pit fall related.
Why? Because someone complained that my spear traps (anyone with an AC over 15 is fine anyway) and my fireball traps were unfair, on the basis they affected low dex, low wisdom builds more than other builds
So fall damage is my 'equality modifier'.

I don't even try to stealth as a paladin; I just declare myself whenever I am asked to roll a stealth check. It causes more fear to the enemies when they already know that I'm coming and can instantly heal myself back to half health. I often serve as the distraction so that the ranger and/or rogue can get into a vantage point or sneak past the enemies.

I'm gonna be honest here... I'd be waaaaay happier fighting a Tarrasque as a level 1 character than as anything between level 5-15.
With the level 1, you can make it entertaining because you're obviously screwed. With the 5-15, you'll probably have grown invested in your character somewhat, the surrounding villagers will look to you for assistance and stuff... but you're pretty much just as screwed as if you were level 1.
Plus, Tarrasque's are natural disasters that just happen on occasion and then are gone for decades, centuries, possibly millenia. You can just have a new character in this world and be certain that they won't have to face one during their journey. [Unless your DM is a sadist.]

I mean, to be fair, a DM I had once calculated that a party of 2-3 Wizards or Sorcs, I forget which, at level 5 or 6 could bring a Tarrasque to it's knees in 5e. Maybe not kill, but get pretty close. Cast fly, constantly stay out of range, and keep dropping cantrips on it en masse. Forget which one, but they said there is a cantrip that even if you succeed the save, it does damage. So, there's that, lol.
Unless the DM decides Tarrasques can jump, in which case, yeah, still screwed, lol.

You goofed on the last part with the wizard fighting a Tarrasque. In 5e, two level 1 wizards can kill a Tarrasque if they both know find familiar. That's all they need. A bunch of gold helps so they can pass the next two weeks in a bar racking up a huge bill, but you only need the two familiars.
Day 1, am shift familiar 1 goes to the tarrasque, fails it's fear check and hides for 1 minute, then is immune for 24 hours, so it spends the next 11 hours 59 minutes being noisy so the Tarrasque can't sleep.
Day 1 pm shift, the other familiar shows up for it's 12 hour shift, fails the fear save, hides for one minute, then is noisy for the next 11 hours 59 minutes.
Day 2 works just like day one.
    Day 3 same thing...
    day 4...
    day 5...
    day 6...
    ...
Death day.. Tarrasaque dies of exhaustion cause it couldn't sleep, the two wizards level up and go get loot from the tarrasaque and reward money from the closest 10 or so towns that aren't flattened by a pissed off and tired Tarrasque.
This works because the familiars are not attacking the Tarrasque, so nothing is bouncing back and the Tarrasque does not have any ranged attack, so the flying noise makers are safe.
This is also my answer to the lists floating around of the easiest or earliest ways to kill the Tarrasque. My way is 20 gp for 2 find familiar spells cast by 2 level 1 wizards. I'd love it if someone could beat that.

One day while bored at work I came up with the amusing idea of turning Hasbro games into DnD campaigns. Candyland turned into a race against a giant Cookie Monster hellbent on devouring all the Cookie-Folk and the players advance as a group on the board using a D4 instead of drawing cards. Random encounters are decided by a D8 roll on lists made for each color on the board. Going to landmarks give them a mini-quest to retrieve legendary candy-themed weapons to use in the confrontation with Cookie Monster either at the end or if he caught up to them mid-journey. At the end of the game if they'd collected all the weapons and retrieved the homebrew magic spell scroll Curse of Doctor Diabetes CM would lose the ability to regenerate health from eating players or NPCs via the scroll and if he was force-fed the candy-weapons he'd go into a sugar coma and they'd win without a long-drawn fight being needed.
Started coming up with an idea for Hungry Hungry Hippos last week during lunch.

My fellow players: I use this ability/attack.
Example from Barbarian: I will rage, which gives me a tail, and I’ll slash that enemy over there… I don’t care which side of it you move me to.
One other player: I’m doing ability/attack with this purpose.
Example: I see these enemies, one of which is aiming for a friend. I use this spell to stop them.
Me: My step by step thought process when making a plan, how I do my new spells, if/how I signal/talk to my allies, and what I use to attack and its angle. Also, what my Familiar does at the same time.
Example: I know this player only uses this skill if injured, so I’ll say “let’s fall back” as I finish off the Ankheg in front of us with my Shortsword, my Familiar giving me Advantage on the attack. I’ll then head towards the way out, spot a second Ankheg burrowing along my path, and come to a stop here before I leave its range. Finally, my Familiar will fly up the cliff to my friend, mewling to get his attention on our troubles.
