Hey Christine- instead of turning off his detector just stealthily take the sensitivity way down, his machine is on, your finding stuff and Bill not so much. Well, it’s just a thought 😊
@@DigginSoCal I’ve done this to myself. In trashy areas I take down the sensitivity to hit the recent drops only. Then going on my merry way to the open beach and no hits for a 1/2 hour or so realizing did not adjust sensitivity back to high. 🙄

Christine did ok, considering she usually hunts sand. There are lots of coins for her. Cupcakes today for her.
With practice and a real shovel, she will get better. There are so many better finds in the grass.

I have a white toweling cloth that I hang from my finds bag. I use it to wipe my hands when I park hunt. It help keep my jeans clean.
