I like your 'dickens gloves' I wear the same in the winter, allows you to do things without the awkwardness of full gloves or mittens.

I have three pairs of these. I often wear them in the house while sat at the keyboard.

I would love to get over to Wales. I've been to north and central, now I need to do south.

Hi Ilona living in the Cambridgeshire Fens as I do, your landscape is very similar to mine , some people find it very boring but I never tire of it. Wonderful sunrises and sunsets and the fields changing with the seasons. As regards planes we also have a lot of activity in the skies due to Mildenhall and Lakenheath air bases

Yes, it is very much like Cambridgeshire up here in North Lincolnshire. To get the best of it I walk it in all seasons.

You really do need to get a torch, for just in case events, be prepared. I love your expeditions into the local countryside. Map reading is an important skill to have. Great video thank you x

I have torches, it's just that I make my mind up in a hurry to go out, and forget to put one in my bag. Must try harder. Map reading is how I found my way around the country during 32 years of lorry driving. Sometimes learning the old style skills stay with you for life.

I love the walk! You are oh so brave going out with just a map. I would be nervous of getting lost lol. You are a strong woman!! I love your hat. Did you put the design on or did you get it that way? It’s so pretty. You have to be coming up on your 1,000 miles 🎉🎉

I stitched the colourful bits onto my hat. Just practicing embroidery. Not far off the 1000 miles now. Another 36 to do.

I like your hat, it's cute......did you make it? How long does it take you to walk one mile? Hope you get to the village before dark. Take care.

My hat is shop bought. I added the decoration while learning some new embroidery stitches. It takes me 20 minutes to walk one mile. That's about average for most people. Yes, I did get to the village before it went really dark. Thank you for your comment.
